Is there loustat content in tale of the body theif?

Hi there. You bet there is! As a matter of fact, after reading the chronicles from The Vampire Lestat through part of Memnoch the Devil again, I’d say that Tale of the Body Thief probably has the greatest number of and most intense loustat moments of any of the chronicles, except for maybe IWTV, (which I admit I haven’t re-read for some time.)

In the beginning and towards the end of Body Thief Lestat emotes a lot over Louis for no reason in particular, saying things like “His beauty has always maddened me. I think I idealize him in my mind when I’m not with him; but then when I see him again I’m overcome.” 

They also have a full-blown lovers quarrel and Louis says things like “Sometimes you frighten me so badly I hurl sticks and stones at you. It’s foolish. I’m glad to see you, though I dread admitting it…I can’t bear the thought of existence now without you!

Anyways yes. The answer to your question is yes.

How would Wade and t'challa interact if they were dating?

I imagine they’d be a very unconventional couple and that’s what is special about their relationship. Wade would hide behind his insecurities and joke about everything and T’Challa the ever patient boyfriend would see behind that and not hold that against him. It would bother him at first but he’d understand that it’s just how Wade copes with everything. He’d just be there for Wade and sometimes it’d be really challenging because Wade’s antics and self-destructing nature would always be a stepping ground in their relationship. And T’Challa’s honorable (is that the right word) nature would clash very badly with that.

So I supposed a typical interaction between them would be normal or as normal as it could get with Wade in the picture. Wade would joke about everything but every now and then when Wade feels it’s okay to open up, he’d let T’Challa in and they would just be two people just talking - no facades. They’d be just T’Challa and Wade - not simply a King or the Merc with the Mouth. And T’Challa would eventually loosen up and at times (not that he’d ever admit) he’d would secretly smile whenever Wade is doing his thing.

All in all I think they’d bring out the best out of each other but it’d take very long to get to that place because they’re both oh, so very different, not to mention they come from different backgrounds. But once all of that’s out of the place, they would exist beautifully together, well, when Wade is willing to let T’Challa in.

My parents often say "homosexuality came from the white man. " it'd stupid honestly and I usually have no response(I'm a closeted lesbian) What do you think I should do?

I’m so sorry about the late reply. Honestly I’ve heard similar crap but I just stay quiet about it, since I’m closeted too and have anxiety around that. It’s rough to keep quiet about that type of thing though, especially when they’re blatantly ignorant and wrong. I also hate to tell people to just endure something too though. Unfortunately with all the time I’ve had to think about it I don’t know a good response myself besides “generic” ones. Stuff like asking why they feel that way or why it even matters to them to begin with.With the fact that you’re closeted though, it might just be the best thing to be quiet to not stir up any problems for yourself, and I really hate to say that. However I’d suggest maybe talking about it to friends/family that you can trust to vent about it. It sucks holding that stuff in.I may not be good at giving advice lol, but I’m always here to listen and read a rant or two if it’d make you feel any better to write things down.
