Y'know...

I've been thinking a lot about how they do laundry on the Normandy lately, and I think I found an answer that satisfies me, at least.

I sincerely don't think they have big machines using tons of water. That just wouldn't be feasible. So what if they had these small chambers with some sort of ultrasonic type of thing that got rid of everything from smell to germs to stains? Like the decontamination chamber, just smaller and made for laundry.

And it's 2183 so it takes maybe 15 minutes max. You can literally get undressed, hop in the shower, dry yourself, take your clothes out of the thingy, and have a fresh set at the ready immediately.

These chambers are small, yes, but they could maybe be everywhere. And you wouldn't need a lot of clothes at all. You could rotate 3-4 outfits and everything would be okay. 👀

I love giving grimsley useless hcs like how’s he’s ambidextrous, can play the piano and violin, has the equivalent of a motorbike license, can’t handle alcoholic beverages.

Veylin really likes poetry! She has a lot of books in her hive and like 25% of them are poems.

Ben likes to dance and if he's standing still for long enough, he will start bouncing to imaginary music.

Vey's favorite scent is peppermint!

Ben has always really wanted to own a leather jacket and he has no idea why.

Veylin has a habit of laughing into the side of her hand :)

Aaand Ben prefers salty foods to sweet ones!

GOD do I even have 9 things to say about him???? fuckin. uh. let's see how many I can do

1. When he was Ben's age he was already almost 7 feet tall (I think I noted it somewhere as 6'9 and then changed it to 6'10 for. reasons.)

2. He can play the organ! So can Ben.

3. He taught Ben to play the organ :) It wasn't fun

4. Practically a godparent to Mallum and Kiyana and he hates them. So much.

5. Surprisingly dexterous!

6. His eyes used to be normal and not permanently glowy

7. Has a flower garden :)

8. Uses said flowers as offerings to gain control of people :)

9. Very possessive :))

THE HIM!

1. Since I am utterly incapable of making even my robot ocs sit still, he has a tendency to pick at the gaps in his plating, especially on his fingers

2. Little sponge boy. Constantly picking up little habits from those around him

3. He can understand like any language, BUT only at like. A google translate level. Which I just find funny

Girl time at the bus stop!!

1. Veylin doesn’t get to have fresh produce often, so she’s always very excited when she does.

2. Her house is full of so many blankets! She actually has a pretty high resistance to cold, but she keeps collecting more in case she has visitors.

3. Vey has a very good relationship with her lusus! She doesn’t live in Veylin’s hive, but she’s always hanging around nearby.

4. I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this, but she has a sculpture garden outside her hive! When she finishes an ice sculpture she sets it outside and it gets frozen to the ground.

5. She is the queen of nervous/uncomfortable smiles
