“I'm a little offended you don't think it's my style,” Alan emerges from the shadows, a voice-modulating helmet derezzing from around his face. He nods to a nearby program, who returns to his duties. “I'll have you know Italian restaurants were among Lora's favorite go-to locations for dates.”
If you’re about to tell me you “compiled” me over a bottle of Chianti, and a couple plates of puscanetta, thanks in advance for breaking my brain.
He picks up Mercury’s name tag. “I know that what I’ve got with Merc...probably isn’t what you expected. Not what I expected either. It’s kinda why I put off telling you about it. Had a whole speech planned for when you found out. Should have figured you already did know. Just...surprised.”
He smiles. “She’s gonna flip when she sees this. Not like they have this kind of thing in this world most of the time.”

The good news - they stopped the threat.
The bad news - threat is pretty likely to take them with it. He and Tron both took a lot of wounds, and no patch spheres in sight.
The thought of dying? He’s not scared or angry. More…accepting. He should have died a long time ago. That’s why it was called a “suicide attempt.” And dying to save the Program world? It’s a good way to go. It’s how he wanted to go - saving lives. And while it sucks that Tron’s caught in this, too? It’s…it’s like the last piece of the puzzle. Tron isn’t dying alone, either. When he needed a User at his back, he had one.
He takes his brother’s hand. Despite the situation, he’s finally at peace. “Coming from you? Honor’s all mine. Gonna suck for our dad, though.”
