log 1. july 8, 2160. the userbase, a place worth no time at all. stuck in my own head and left with nothing. a landscape undescribable by me, or anyone else.
standing around, watching buildings collapse. i am almost entirely alone here. barely any of these people are real, and i know that. robots serving me, making me feel worthy, convincing me to stay on the web
on the userbase.
i don't remember what's real anymore, and on top of my confusion, turning my head leaves me with nothing but simulated disgust, as i am nauseous in game right now.
i caught a bug a few weeks ago, and my fake body aches with every rough movement
i could disable that feature for not much more than my current membership, but i'd rather be able to afford real food.
the userbase provides a simulated meal for anyone, even on free memberships. that's how they lured so many people in
the userbase meals simulate a full stomach, and get rid of your sensations of hunger just like real food would, but they do not fill you.
many people have starved from this. the userbase has blocked any mentions of starving. they consider it "too violent". i do not believe them.
i am writing on something that cannot be easily tracked. it is a "notebook". before primarily and then fully switching to digital learning, they were the average persons primary source of note-taking. at least that's what i've heard.
they aren't commonly found anymore, and the only reason they aren't common is because of the burn riot. paper products of any kind were burned by people refusing to join the web.
a public national announcement said that online journalling and infographing was better than any standard real-world supplies, especially with their new advancing AI technology, and rioters burned down all their paper products, and said to the world, "nothing at all is better than your monstrosities".
in some towns, they supposedly burned down buildings over their anger. but here's the problem; it isn't true. why would they burn what they had bought and cared for? why did so many areas that were against AI have high death rates from the fires? not more fire, from any reports, just more fire deaths. see, that's the part they forgot to cover up.
i don't *know* if i'm right about any of this. but i think i am. and in a world like this, where you really don't know anything, i have to believe something, or i'll go insane. so i choose to believe somethings wrong with this world. i choose the believe there is something behind closed doors that we don't see. i choose to believe that propaganda fills every article i read, every video and movie i watch, every photo i see, and more
because i would rather live a fool, than die blind to the abuse i'm taking.
