this is a fairly short poem but it’s so evocative of the wild intensity of falling in love with someone - particularly when it’s against your better judgment. this line is so steve/tony for me because of the idea that they’re both so convinced that the other won’t reciprocate these feelings, and also the idea that they’re both just willing to accept that they’ll have to suffer through their affection
