i'm now accepting edit prompts!

the last time i did this was in 2022/23, so it's been a while. even if i have no milestone to celebrate this time, i miss the joy and sense of community these events give me, so i wanted to return here. i also wanted to boost my own productivity as i've struggled with finding the motivation to edit lately and would love to lose myself in this form of art again. so if you'd like to send me a prompt during these trying times, know that it will be greatly appreciated ♥

here are some instructions and tips on how things will work:

what to make your prompt about:

in general, you can craft your prompt in whichever way you'd like, but here are some options for those who get overwhelmed by too much creative freedom:

i. the classic: pick a character/characters you like and mix them with a poem, a song/lyric, or a quote you love as much. most of my old event edits have been like this and they always work. – examples: x x x ii. the aesthetic: i've created several episode edits in the past, most of them inspired by color palettes or colors. if you want something similar, give me a character(s) or a show and a color/color palette, and i'll try my best with it! – examples: x x x iii. the analysis: i love different personality tests and other such things, which shows in my edits. if you'd also like to see you favorite character(s) analyzed like this, tell me who and how: horoscope? mbti? other personality test? a playlist? a dnd character sheet? something else? i'm open to suggestions. – examples: x x x x iv. the web weave: my personal favorite, but might take longer than others to make. if you wish for a classic web weave edit, mention in your prompt if you want it for a character or a specific relationship dynamic and what the theme/topic of it should be. – examples: x x bonus: free square! just like in bingo, this is where anything goes. aka if you find it difficult to come up with a prompt but would still love to enable me, this is your chance. choosing free square means that i will randomly pick an edit idea from my secret stash, finally bring it to life, and dedicate it to you.

how to get your prompt to me:

i'd prefer you send me your prompt as an ask, but i've previously accepted prompts via dms, too. it does not matter to me much, but asks are easier to keep track of, tho i've always ended up making a spreadsheet for the prompts anyway :'D you can also include several different prompts to one ask! if you feel like it's hard for you to pick which idea to present me, you can make me choose for you. overall my thumb of rule while doing prompts has been to create only one edit per person so that i don't get too overwhelmed and having only one ask from one person helps with that.

i'll be accepting prompts from today until the 10th of april (which is also my birthday), after which i will be closing my inbox for a little while before starting to work on the prompts in the same order i received them.
