Last button sewed on and last end woven in! I can't be happier about this make. I knit it back and forth, no steek. And it actually turned out perfectly fine. As a bonus I can now comfortably throw with my left hand. Three colors over one round was definitely a challenge. But slow and steady wins the race. Pattern: Vintersol by @knit.love.wool Yarn: Lettlopi and JÀrbo 3-tr and some handspun. About 1k meters all in all. (most of it bought at @garnhyllan) Thanks @garnharvan (#ghdrömmenkal) for making me finally start this project! Ps. Hopefully one of these days I'll take some prettier project pictures... #knitting #knittersofinstagram #instaknit #knitblr #sweaterknitting #useyourhandspun #anvÀndhandspunnet #colorwork https://www.instagram.com/p/CqApNXnIMa9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
A totally all feeling project. Went by my LYS the other day for supplementing a whole different project that's still in the planning stage (aka swatching). And walked away with two balls of Tynn Peer Gynt and one ball of Alpakka FÞlgetrÄd. Did some swatching, cast on the next day. Totally unplanned, but so much fun project. Knitting it on 5.5mm needles. Cast it on 3 days ago. Making the pattern as I go. It's flying! And can we just talk about this combination of yarns? I've wanted to try it since it released and I'm loving it. Tynn Peer Gynt is now definitely up there with Finull. And as I've never been a fan of fluff, but always wanted to experiment with optical color blending like this I'm really enjoying the alpaca too.
I have about 100 meters left and then I'll do the hem with the brown contrast (that is a handspun fingering/sport.) To get a good sized cropped throw-over-a-top-when-my-shoulders-get-cold shirt.
14st/10cm is just so much fun from time to time!
It's happening! So super soon done! I'm so excited! Only waiting for it to dry. Weaving in the ends, and sewing on the buttons (anyone wanna bet me how long it'll take until I get the buttons sewed on? đ ) Vintersol by knit.love.wool (Jennifer Steingass) @garnharvan #ghdrömmenkal Yarn bought mainly at @garnhyllan Istex Lettlopi, JĂ€rbo 3-tr (and some handspun.) #knitting #knittersofinstagram #instaknit #knitblr #sweaterknitting #useyourhandspun #anvĂ€ndhandspunnet #colorwork https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp2KszJIwJ_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
It is time to pick the 'O-Six' Sweater back up again! It's had a bit of hiatus while waiting for yarn to be spun. And then for the summerheat to pass (because no, I don't wanna sit with a whole Islandic wool sweater in my lap during summer). And then ofc for me to finish some of my projects to make room for this one. So here we go! Only sleeves and yoke left. #knitting #handspun #useyourhandspun #jÀrbo #osixsweater #knittersofinstagram #icelandicsweater #swedishfinewool https://www.instagram.com/p/CUIHx4nDRAH/?utm_medium=tumblr
