Day 7 is here already??

So I guess it’s time for the closing post. I think it’s probably best to start by thanking everyone who’s taken part in this. Doesn’t matter if you made art, wrote fic, yelled in the ushiten discord server, silently watched and enjoyed... doesn’t matter, everyone who was here gets a big thank you! This ship continues to thrive thanks to everyone involved.

Bit of a personal story: I found myself taking part in this fanweek in 2016, when I was still a beginner artist and writer, and I think there were less than 10 of us actually invested back then. I got to work alongside people that I really admire, and at the end I was able to call them friends. There were less than 100 fics in the ushiten tag on ao3. At the end of that fanweek, there were a grand total of 68. (And now it’s over 650? Incredible.) It was one of the best fandom experiences I’ve ever had, and it really helped cement my love for this ship.

So, I hope this year’s fanweek did the same for at least one of you! 

As far as next year goes, I hope people are on board. I’m sure I will be, and honestly it might be fun to host a couple ushiten weeks next year. Now that we have a discord server, we can do lots of fun stuff and collaborate together! As a side-note: I also always host @tendou-week during his birthday, if that interests you!

I’m posting this early, but the queue is full for the day and you’re still free to post stuff even if it’s late!! If I missed anyone’s content, please dm me! If the tendou-satori account liked your post then I have seen it and probably queued it up for this blog, but again, if I somehow missed something, please let me know.
