I can finally go on maternity leave 🥳🥳🥳! Back in last year Dec I signed two contracts to develop two courses for Continuing Professional Development Courses titles “Using Music in the Infant Classrooms” and “Using Music for Classroom Management and Transitions” for in-service preschool teachers. After I signed the contract, I found out I that I was pregnant with number 3 so I planned to complete all my work before I entered into the last trimester. Then covid-19 kicked in. It is almost impossible to work from home while having to look after two children. Two weeks ago, I received a phone call and was shared that these two courses will be rolled out hopefully in the second half of this year. Not sure how but I managed to pick up the momentum and finished preparing all the materials within 11 days ✌🏻 it is actually really fun to collate all the ideas 💡 and experiences that I have got in the past 10+ years, communicate and present them in simple wordings/ simple visuals. The most awesome 😎 thing was that all those ideas are backed up by research/ scholarly articles. I like how these practices are all linked to theories and research. Sharing with you one slide that I created on how music should be used purposefully by matching a child’s emotional/ energy level in a school setting before moving onto a teacher-led activity for the most success. I also like to take this opportunity to thank my colleague @jeanchua_ong for making the efforts to search for articles for me when I asked for help ❤️ you are more than awesome! So now, two months before my EDD, I am gonna be entering my maternity leave/ semi-retirement, focusing on self-care, my family, my children and this last pregnancy 🤰🏻. #conbriomusictherapy #selfcare #usingmusicforclassroommanagement #babiesconbrio #musicstrategies #earlychildhoodeducation #earlychildhoodeducator #earlychildhood #earlychildhoodlearning #earlychildhoodteacher #earlychildhoodmusictherapy https://www.instagram.com/p/B_4j11QH7i_/?igshid=nxb7zxwtijis
