Novak Djokovic wins for the third time the US Open, beating in the final Del Potro 6-3 7-6 6-4
With this victory Djokovic reaches Pete Sampras with 14 major wins, both in third place in the all-time standings behind Federer (20) and Nadal (17).
The first set remains tie until 3-3, then Novak takes over and wins 6-3.
.The second is more balanced, the Serb goes ahead of a break but Del potro recovers on 3-3, then it remains in parity until the tiebreak, where wins again Djokovic.
In the third set Djokovic reaches perfection, he recovers impossible balls, shows an impenetrable defense, sends back every ball, plays inhuman recovers, finds unexpected angles and plays winners in situations where another hardly could only try to send the ball beyond.
