In sports, such as life, Black women are always expected to be the bigger person. Anything a Black women does that shows emotion is seen as "aggressive" or "too much". While counterparts are able to berate competitors and be emotional sore losers, a Black woman could never. Even through that they still shine.

Lately I've gotten into watching the U.S. Open. I enjoy the mix of male and female athletes from different countries, and I also admire the fact that the tournament is celebrating 50 years of equal pay. So in a way I hate to single it out. That said, the branding has gotten a bit out of control.
