“I will be traveling abroad to Beijing, China immediately after graduation. I do not have a set job or plan for when I get back, but I know I want to serve low-income communities, either as a teacher or a college prep counselor. I plan to pursue a Masters in Public Policy in the years to come and spend my life reforming the public education system in order to improve the lives of those that come through it.”
Learn how more of the 8,800 Longhorns graduating this week plan to make their mark on the world. And more importantly, how are you going to change the world?
It's becoming increasingly more strange to not be in school. Considering that I have been in the routine of going to class practically every day since fall 2008, it's probably going to take some getting used to. Despite all that, it still hasn't sunk it that I graduated yet. Maybe it will when they mail me my diploma.
Congratulations to the 3,000-plus Longhorns graduating this weekend!
The Tower will shine burnt orange (with "13" on all sides) Dec. 7 & 8 to honor our Fall graduates. -- http://ow.ly/rx2xi
