more crossposting from twitter,, here's a Kazo portrait and this time im gonna also say a bit of lore yay
Omure Kazo the second UtaEnsemble voice source and the clarinetist of the group! He is a fully autonomous and potentially sentient android originally built to work as a lab tech in red rooms and other environments challenging for humans.
Kazo ended up developing his own personality. He loves anything cute (especially hamsters and bunnies), jpop, azo dyes, and yellow.
Design notes:
- the orange tubes on his headones are filled with PCM (phase-change material) liquid to help him stay cool, but they're also shaped like bunny ears!
-His eyes are dot LED screens, and he sets them to moe sparkle eyes on purpose. In live-action, his proportions would be similar to those of a kigurumi mask.
-He is visibly artificial, but enough to not be uncanny. His movements are a bit static and his joints don't bend as well as humans. Kazo only has fake skin on his face, the rest of his body is covered with a thick nylon cloth (you can see it on his arms).
-The ID card on his chest has an integrated EQ visualizer that moves when he sings bc i thought it would be funny and it reminds me of those Royalty Free Music 420p youtube videos
That's all 👍👍👍👍

The 3 members of UtaEnsemble are differents type of robots made from different materials. Ultimately they are all sentient and mobile thanks to a varying degree of magic.
Bemol is made of wood with a porcelain faceplate and he's structured like a ball-jointed doll.
RS-23 is made of aluminium, because while real locomotives are steel machines, that would be way too heavy. He also has doll-like build, but no ball-joints. It's all gears and machinery in there, with his chest being a huge container for batteries. He needs to be recharged on a regular basis.
Finally, kazo is the closest to a sci-fi robot, built from carbon, aluminum and silicon. Everything's electronic and controlled by the circuit board in his skull (the only utaensemble member you can't remove the head of!!!) He only has fake skin on his face tho, the rest is black nylon cloth.
If put in real life, all 3 would retain anime proportions and wouldn't look too uncanny.
