Utah Valley Marathon should be on your bucket list. It's the most beautiful race I've ever done and the course is one of a kind. It's downhill most of the way with some challenging climbs thrown in the middle. I didn't notice the altitude during the downhills, but there were a couple long climbs, one that lasted over 2 miles, and I was quickly reminded that I wasn't in Minnesota. The last 5 miles are pretty flat and that was good news for my quads at that point. With Nashville just 6 weeks ago, I'm happy with my 4:28. If you were acclimated to the altitude and prepared for the downhills, you could go screaming fast on this course. It was very well run. They shut down the entire stretch of highway that we ran on- pretty amazing for a point to point race with less than 1,000 marathoners. If you are looking for a reasonably priced travel race, give this one a try. Provo doesn't gouge it's visitors and logistics are easy.
