she has suffered enough pain in her life to last a lifetime and then some. though each painful experience does take a small piece of her, she knows that she cannot allow those moments to define her. ella will break, she will get angry and ask how the world could be so cruel as to play these awful tricks on her over and over again. how she always strives to be kind, generous, and forgiving, but the world will not do the same for her.

in the end, it does not stop her from trying. if the world will not be kind to her, then she shall do her best to be kind to the world. it will not stop her from smiling at strangers, offering her seat to an older woman, and doing all that she can to make sure the people that she loves are safe and that they know they are loved.

ella has suffered, and has been through one terrible experience after another in her life, but she has come out on the other side of it stronger. they might slow her down momentarily, trip her up every now and again, but she continues pushing forward. she will never stop holding out hope that good things will come.

SIMON x ELLA FOR THE SHIP MEME

gives nose/forehead kisses: both!!! but simon is at a better height advantage to give more forehead kisses. ella will drag him down to her height to press a kiss against his nose.

gets jealous the most: ella is oblivious all the time, so probably simon. only really when she’s dancing with someone else.

picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: ella always picks him up when he’s had a little too much to drink.

takes care of on sick days: both, but ella will say that simon is much more attentive than usual when she’s sick.

drags the other person out into the water on beach day: simon has to drag ella in. she’s not big on open water, but she’ll get in at least to her knees :/

remembers anniversaries: ella remembers the more insignificant ones, but simon is pretty good at remembering the big ones!

brings up having kids: it takes a long time, because she knows about his vow to his father and how having a family of his own isn’t something that he really wants, but ella would probably bring it up eventually. she’s always wanted children, to raise a family and children who know love and warmth, making up for the horrible life that she lived.

Botanical Headcanons : Currently Accepting

Penelope’s worldview changes depending on the time of her life. Before she was introduced to the Bridgertons, she considered the world a cruel and unforgiving place. After she meets them, she considers it something in between her previous opinion and a land full of wonders, since she is exposed to people who appreciate her. However, her experience writing the Whistledown columns reminds her of it’s cruel and unforgiving nature as well. Finally, when she marries Colin, it switches fully to a land full of wonders.

no, kate’s weapon of choice is her tongue, and she definitely doesn’t hold back, especially when somebody (anthony) has got her back up. she can be incredibly cutting and direct, and she will say what she thinks, especially if she’s doing it as either self-defence or defence of someone she loves. 

the mallet of death is hers, though. and she’s brutal with it.
