The best way to end a chaotic 2021 summer filled with mandates, division and chaos is with another perfectly executed White Mountain UTV Jamboree. Their 17th Annual to be exact. UTV Offroad Adventures in Arizona holds this gem of an event in August every year and in the 3 years we have attended, we can personally say that there is nothing but back to back adventure and endless miles of smiles...

Along the Mogollon Rim, in Navajo County, lies the small town of Show Low, AZ. Earning its name from a never ending card game called "Seven Up", Mr. Clark and Mr. Cooley battled over ranch rights. Even­tually Clark said, "if you can show low, you win". Cooley turned over the next card, a deuce of clubs and replied "Show Low it is". It is only fitting that the main street of Show Low is called Deuce of Clubs...

Only found off the beaten path, Young, AZ is a true gem! Deep in the heart of the Tonto National Forest lies this small ranching community. There are roads in and out but only by getting a little dirty. No fully paved highway will connect you to Young, only dirt roads. There is a beautiful winery called the Bruzzi Vineyard that holds wine tastings and has wonderful food, there is a gas station, and a few places to stay. The Dead Broke Inn Saloon Guest House and Corral had a movie made there recently...

Founded in 1876, this small mining camp became a mining town. They called it Globe, named from a silver nugget shaped like, you guessed it, a globe. Mining primarily silver in the earlier years then moving into copper ore as the mineral of choice. As you drive into Globe you can see working mines all around you.

Located in the heart of Gila County this quaint town is filled with old west history. With the location of Globe being so remote to neighboring towns it has had its share of violent conflicts with the Apache Indians. Massacres, murders, stage robberies, and many other stories to tell. Surrounded by the Tonto National Forest, Pinal Mountains and the Salt River there is ample opportunity for adventure and wonderment. Go from desert to pines in no time, truly surprising at every turn...

Northeast of Tucson, AZ lies a small town surrounded by the beauty of the Sonoran desert and picturesque views of the Galiuro Mountains, and Mt. Lemmon. San Manuel, AZ became the housing hub for copper mining for this area and the home of an in-town smelter in 1953. Now a place for snowbirds, retirees, older homes, restaurants, camping and the now super popular sport of UTV off-road adventures...

Along the McMullen Valley runs Hwy 60 stretching from Wickenburg, AZ to Brenda, AZ. In this stretch located between the Harcuvar and Harquahala Mountains, you will find the small towns of Salome, AZ and Wenden, AZ. Both towns are small but welcoming to snowbirds, travelers and off-road enthusiast's year round. This area is rich in agriculture, farming, old mines, open desert views and the best part are the miles and miles of off-road adventure to be had!

Fun history for the area includes: Salome, AZ getting its name from Grace Salome Hall who stepped on the hot dry desert sand barefoot and did a dance, town motto of course is "Where She Danced". Dick Wick Hall a humorist ran the Laughing Gas Station and advertised Free Hot Air. Wenden, AZ is the gateway to Alamo Lake and in the early 1900's it was a supply depot for all of the local mines in the area. Wyatt Earp left Tombstone to become the first retiree in the early 1880's and mined this area...

Deep in the desert of Arizona, somewhere in La Paz County, on Highway 72, lies a small town full of retirees, agriculture, old mines, railroads, canals and secrets. Bouse, AZ is located approximately 27 miles from the California/Arizona border, south of Parker, AZ. Do not expect much for cell phone coverage here but do expect a warm welcome from the Nault family when you stop in at the Ocotillo Lodge & Bar. A perfect watering hole after your desert UTV adventures. The food, people and stories you will hear will truly not disappoint...

You have watched Western movies and read about the adventures of some rough and tumble cowboys in your time, we all have. When you come to San Manuel Arizona you walk right into that movie or book and those imaginations come to life!

Located in southeast Arizona, you are surrounded by rugged territory, wildlife, cows, cowboys, horses and many desert flora and fauna. San Manuel is on the edge of the Sonoran Desert and includes a majestic view of the Galiuro Mountains which overlooks the San Pedro River Valley.
