I watched an episode of The Great North last night where Moon emancipates himself to avoid getting grounded and then after being so successful on his own his friends emancipate themselves too and move in with him and ruin so much. Like....it was such a fucking flashback to being a fairly competent and 'disciplined' (i HATE that word) 20 something having to share a single rental with a revolving door of 20 somethings that had never experienced "freedom" before. Ohmygod. Fuck all the people whose dishes I have had to do bc no one else would. Fuck all the people that just left their alcohol bottles and cogarettes around because there was no adult to tell them to clean it up. Fuck all the people whose shit I have had to scrub out of carpets and walls over the years in a meager attenpt to get, not just a security deposit, but the goddamned space back after they disappeared. Honestly anyone who looks at you in the face and says, "if it bothers you, then you can clean it" decapitate them on site I mean it.
