Here is what Her Majesty Strong left behind when she merged back in to the first hive. Some really really nice brood and lots of honey. The ants have nearly taken all of it already and I'm so sad...

In better news, the happy swarm hive of Uveara has the single best queen that I've ever seen. There are three other frames that look exactly like this one, as well as two frames of solid honey. Her majesty Strong is indeed living up to her name!
Went queen-hunting for the first real time today. Found two of three queens, so I think I'm doing pretty well. Queen Victoria Deirdre of Llorynth (top) and queen Alberta Strong of Uveara, (bottom,) captured in images for the first time! Her majesty Strong's colony is going to be split in to my fanciest, nicest top bar hive once this next batch of young bees hatches out. It's gonna bee a big party! X3
Queen Strong’s hive is one month old today! So far she has taken all but one frame in the deep given her, so hopefully within the next few weeks I will be able to put the next deep on top to give them more room! I can tell that the baby bees are already coming out because there are -lots- of cappings on the ground under the hive! X3 I’m hoping to do a small split off of her colony once they double again. I’m going to put her in to my best top bar hive so that she not only has free reign over the place, but also has the ability to use small-cell comb like she is used to! I’m going to prompt them to start queen cells next month in preparation.
Uveara also seems to have been knocked or pushed by something or someone in the past week because the base board has been offset from the deep and taken some paint with it! I will investigate this further later. I'm not sure how to fix paint on an active hive! DX
Gonna try to get some good Queen pictures some time this coming week. I just have to squeeze in the time between work, work, work, stressing over school, family, R&R, self-maintenance (like eating,) and sleep. Might try to use my macro lens and set up some sort of frame-holding device to hold it while I take pictures. Otherwise I'll just be using my quickly dying phone instead.
