On Sunday the UVM Freeskiing Team hosted a big mountain freeride competition at Stowe Mountain Resort. About 70 of the best eastern skiers ripped it up on Stowe’s famed steeps and had a blast. The competition was a one run format with natural features and a few man made kickers. Junior girls, juniors boys, men and women all dropped in and threw down sick lines. The freeride competition is a stop at the UVM Freeskiing Team’s competition series called the Triple Crown; it involves a rail jam, freeride comp and slopestyle to truly test the skiers. There is an overall winner and also winners in each discipline. The freeride was the second stop and the most popular so far. A big shout to all of their sponsors, Orage, Stowe, SkiRack, GMFC, Anon, Faction, Piecasso, Polar, and Ski the East ! Make sure to come out to the third and final stop of the Triple Crown Series, the slopestyle on March 22nd !
