Episode 4 headcanon:
Not that Edred isn't romantic, but, if this was his first life, he would have waited until they were out of the cursed ship to try too woo Melinda. The whole "light the way and help us see and even help her be with me" light and music show he putted on was the Dimitri side of his brain going "Trust me bro, it is in every romance novel"
(Tangential head canon: Dimitri loves trashy romance novels and even had full ugly cryed when reading some more tragic ones)

Headcanon: Dimitri always liked the art and theater, but his family always thought it was a waste of time, that is way he ran away to joing a circus in his late teens.
I'd say this could fit! The wiki places Dimitri at around age 20, he could have left at around age 17, spent a year or two learning the ropes in the circus, and then decided to branch out into a more solo act!
