Monica’s blooms & buildings series: cherry blossoms & gothic architecture buildings of UW Quad. Finally made out to the QUAD to see cherry blossoms this season! 7:30-8am was the sweet spot — no traffic & small crowd, but there was no lights. It’s still really beautiful, but the flowers have passed full bloom, it’s peaked, about to say bye bye. Happy Saturday! 😎✌️🌸

It’s baaaack! Well, sort of. A couple of versions of the chronological feed returned on Wednesday. ⏳ According to Insider, it’s the first time in six years we’ve been given the option to see our feeds in chronological order 😍. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been really looking forward to choosing what I see instead of having it determined by IG’s algorithms 👀. To see a chronological feed on your Instagram account: 1. Open the app and tap on the Instagram logo 2. You’ll see a drop-menu. Tap on “Following.” 3. You’ll see posts from your feed in chronological order 4. “Favorites” shows chronological posts from selected accounts. Tap it. 5. You’ll be invited to add accounts to your “Favorites” list 6. You’ll be asked to confirm your favorites. I took a few simplified screenshots. Swipe right in my carousel 🎠🎠🎠  to see what I’m talking about here. (They follow my University of Washington cherry blossom photos. 🍃🌸🍃💮🍃🌸) Right now, the chronological feed option isn’t available on the web🕸️. It’s only available on iOS and Android apps📱🤳. I have a business account👩‍💼 and strangely couldn’t access this feature! I had to take the screen shots from my cat’s account! 😸😽 I’m not sure if it’s a glitch, 🤦‍♀️ but I’ve seen the feature referenced as being available to all users. If & when it’s available I will go through my “close friends” 🤗 📋 list and add them to “Favorites💗.” Are you looking forward to trying it? If you miss the “old Instagram,” this could be great! 🥳 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ According to several articles I’ve read, you cannot select “Favorites” as your default. Beautiful Sunday morning at the UW campus! Forrest was so fascinated by the cherry blossoms. Ok, not true. He was so overwhelmed by the people taking pictures of other people, including his mama.
