Synopsis:

It was peaceful. Both you and him just wanted a quiet evening to yourselves. Nothing over the top. Just something to do while alone together after so long. That was what it was supposed to be. All it needed to be.

So why was this lady here— smiling and giggling while getting way too close to your man? And in your face too??????

Shin Asakura

He was genuinely baffled. Nothing about this was expected. All he wanted was a peaceful walk in the park— hand-in-hand with his partner.

So who was she?!

It honestly took a while for his brain to process what was taking place. And when it did, you were already stepping in front of him and telling her off. Naturally, Shin was quick to try to defuse the situation, holding you back while shooing her off. It was then that he plainly mentioned his relationship with you. He even tugged you that slightest bit closer too! (Which only seemed to add colour to his cheeks.)

Once he'd gotten her away, he sat you on a bench to calm you down. Silence hung over you. Neither of you knew exactly how to address the issue. It was only broken when the clairvoyant cleared his throat.

"Just know that I wouldn't... I like you too much for that."

Yoichi Nagumo

This guy. He fed off it. The millisecond he felt your heated glare at the waitress, his grin only widened. So he let the ball keep rolling.

Occasionally, he'd add his own subtly flirtatious remarks— keeping her enticed while fanning the flames of your rage. It took way too long for her to leave with your orders. But by then, you were fuming! And with Nagumo being Nagumo, he kept that radiant, charming smile that both made your heart throb, but also want to jump the table and wrap your hands around his throat!

Even though you knew that he took great pleasure in seeing you frustrated, you still couldn't let the waitress slide. Because who did she think she was?! Couldn't she see that you were clearly on a date?!

No matter, you could still solve it without causing a scene. So any and every time she returned, you made a show of holding Nagumo's hand across the table or calling terns of endearment with the sickeningly sweet tone. The raven-haired man would return every exaggerated gesture with one of his own— running his tattooed fingers over your knuckles, feeding you bites of his food, while swiping some off yours and giving cringe-worthy nicknames.

She seemed to take the hint and backed off. So you relaxed. Pay time arrived and she was back with the bill. As goofy as Nagumo was, he rarely ever let you take the bill, so he'd cracked it open first— ready to pay and get done with it. But there, he saw it. Written in neat handwriting was her number. He hummed, before settling the bill and waiting for her to return.

When she did, her smile was friendly, innocent. It made your eye twitch. Nagumo mirrored her smile, extending the booklet to her. He swiped it back before she could actually take it and turned his gaze to you. A mischievous glint darkened his eyes. Neither you nor the waitress had enough time to question as he pulled you in for a loud, sloppy make out session— tongue and all.

Staff paused. Diners stared. Children had their eyes covered. He made a show of it, pinning you to you seat and dragging you back in for more whenever you pulled away. Eventually, he separated from you, slowly licking his lips to savour the taste of you on them. He handed the waitress the bill and pulled you up with him by the waist. You were dazed beside him as he flashed a wide smile.

"Thanks for the service. I really enjoyed my meal."

The both of you were banned from that establishment.

Gaku

To his merit— and your semi-relief— he was unbothered. Sure, she was giggling, was way too generous when giving compliments on his gaming skills, dropping her voice to give off that seductive allure. But he was simply unphased.

You, on the other hand, glared at her through the monitor. Every innocent giggle, loud gasp of amazement and not-so-subtle remark only served to grate your nerves even further.

It was only after a few rounds did he start to suspect something was off. Your button mashing was done with far more aggression than usual. And for whatever reason, you always seemed to kill her first. Every. Single. Round. It got to the point that you'd spend the entire round hunting her down and getting a lower score.

But still, he kept his thoughts to himself. Instead, he started another round. Unfortunately, the girl got more bold, blatantly asking for any of his socials. Beside him, you seethed.

Not that it really mattered as he'd immediately logged off the game. You blinked in surprise. "Huh? What was that for?"

"The game got boring. Let's pick another."

And that was the end of it.

Ken Uzuki

Another unbothered king!

On the exterior. Internally, he was mildly annoyed. This was far too much trouble for a quiet night. But to be polite, he let the lady do her thing till she got bored.

You on the other hand, couldn't let that slide! Your arms wrapped around one of his own as you loudly cleared your throat, forcefully announcing your presence. She glanced at you, then your linked arms before offering some snide remark. This only angered you further.

Sensing your murderous intent, Uzuki only wrapped his free arm around you to hold you back. He excused the both of you before finding somewhere quiet to relax. Still, he was pissed. Was it too much to ask for a night without bloodshed— alone with his partner?!

Still, it wasn't all ruined. He could salvage this. And that he did. His arms wrapped around you as he buried his face into the crook on your neck.

"You needn't worry. I'm yours, just as you are mine. It'll stay like that till the end of time."

a/n: This unironically made me struggle— especially Uzuki's! Why is he so difficult to write?!?!?!!

And again, I went overboard with Nagumo's.✌🏽😭

everyone cleared their throat and said in unison, "…like her?"

uzuki's brows furrowed in annoyance. "no," he flatly said, but no one believed him for a second. "oh, c'mon kei!" kumanomi began, "we’re your best friends, just tell us if you like her or not?"

gozu cracked his head, a grin spreading across his face. "he’s obviously not gonna admit it."

"there’s nothing to admit if i truly don't like her—"

just then, you came walking past uzuki and his friends. your hair swayed gently as you moved, and everything seemed to slow down as uzuki watched you, one hand gripping your backpack strap and the other relaxed at your side.

he was in awe, completely captivated by your presence.

"yeah, he's whipped," tenkyu coughed out, earning a sharp glare from uzuki, who snapped out of his trance. "you guys are annoying. (last name) isn't very pleasant to look at."

"stop lying through your teeth, kei." haruma had a basketball in his hand and started spinning it on his finger.

kumanomi tapped her chin thoughtfully, as if she were remembering something. "you can't say she's ugly, or that she smells bad, or that she's stupid."

"yeah, 'cause she's none of those." uzuki admitted.
