They were bent over on their front-knees, the mouth-piece of their helmet retracted to reveal jagged fangs dripping with glittering pinkish-red blood. Magenta stained the entire front of their chest as well as what little of their white fur showed through gaps and places where their body-suit was torn. Breaths came quick and close together, the gravity of the planet itself as well as armor that suddenly felt too heavy weighing very literally upon them. They doubled over further, gripping tightly at the gravel underneath their claws.
The world was full of white-noise. The sound was hard to ignore before, but impossible now with the way it throbbed in every ear, rattling their very skull. Again, they retched, blood splattering onto the ground. More than simply feeling awful, they felt ill.
“Well, well… Seems we have some easy pickings.”
Just out of reach, they heard a voice, unfamiliar and alien. The words barely registered, but Zovariy instantly went on the alert. They lashed out with a clumsy paw, the movement easily avoided by the stranger who was now circling them, seemingly appraising them more than anything.
They groaned half in distress, and half in frustration, limbs feeling like jelly.
