The storm came out of nowhere. It didn’t really stop Emily from doing what she wanted to do, which was just travel to the next town and maybe find some work. Still though, she needed to find shelter and quick. It was then that a stranger came up and helped her out of the storm. She was grateful for that. Emily followed the man back to his place where once inside, she wrung out her hair.
“Thank you. It was stupid of me to be out there in the first place. I should’ve turned back whne I had the chance. I’m just lucky that you found me when you did. It’s getting worse out there.” Lighting struck as thunder clapped, startling the woman. “Damnit” she swore under her breath.
She looked at the man who saved her from the elements. “I’m Emily by the way, and who might you be?” She asked curiously.
