It means I have a real heart, with true feelings...” Even if those feelings did lead to crying, but he’d take that over not having any emotions at all, and more so, over having nothing but hatred and rage. Namine had witnessed him crying just moments ago and he tried to hide it, he even tried to run, but she came after him - she was so understanding, she always was. He didn’t have to be afraid of being vulnerable around her - he didn’t have to be afraid of anything with Namine.
