"I'm thinking about a lot of things. One of those things is about comic books. Do you like comic books?" Vanitas was a curious boy and couldn't help but ask questions.
“Comic Books?” Runa repeated, raising an eyebrow. Okay... Comic books was definitely NOT on the list of things she thought her brother would be curious about today. She blinked.
Did she like comic books?
Suddenly there’s a slight ting of pink on her cheeks as she sheepishly runs a hand through her hair. “Er... Yeah, I guess so. They’re pretty fun to read.” The brunette replied, turning away slightly.

1. I think my first ever ship on here was actually Riqua thanks to @heartsdive, the two of them are both having experienced the Realm of Darkness; Riku understands better than anyone what it’s like to be struggling with darkness and inner demons, so he’s a shoulder for Aqua to lean on when she needs it.
2. RikuRoku. They just have a really interesting dynamic and the way they met is certainly a unique one, it’s nice to see how much they have grown since that first initial meeting. I’m glad that I’ve gotten the chance to write both sides where they make up for their actions in the past and start fresh.
3. Rikai / Sorikai / Soriku. Honestly I love the Destiny Trio, I do wish Riku had gotten more time to interact with Kairi, we hardly got to see the two of them together since KH2 and its kind of sad. After all they were friends too and Riku clearly had feelings for her in KH1 if he was going to suggest that if he won, he got to share a paopu fruit with her.
4. Veniku. Ventus and Riku are such a unique pairing, especially since Riku is a dreameater of sorts? This pair has gained a place in my heart thanks to @foundliight and their Ventus, since their Ventus tends to get nightmares and since Riku doesn’t typically sleep due to insomnia as well as PTSD; he tends to make sure that everyone else is alright and sleeping soundly. He looks out for him.
5. This is tough because i have a lot of feelings for a bunch of ships for Riku. So i’m gonna add my honourable mentions here. Rikushi /RikuXi because the two of them wanted to do what was right and help their friend, even if it wasn’t the best way. I know he didn’t treat her right when they first met, but he realized his mistake and saw her as her own person.RikuNami is another precious ship which technically is built on RepliNami, Riku had time to meet her and get to know her while she was working on fixing Sora’s Memories. The two of them had gotten close during their time together and he cared about her.Lastly, Vaniku. This one was one that crept up on me, but Riku and Vanitas both understand what it’s like to be in someone else’s shadow- or more specifically Sora’s ‘Shadow’. At first it would be a bit antagonist it, but I could see the two of them getting along and understanding one another.

1. I know this is gonna surprise some people but uh… Avaced. This is all thanks to Leche and their Aced blog ( @ursaced ). Honestly the dynamic they have is really special and they sort of mesh in a way that I never would have expected. He’s her big Teddy Bear and She’s his feisty Fox. The two of them already must have been close since he had asked her to form an alliance with him in Backcover, alongside Gula.
2. Gulava. This shouldn’t be a surprise but just watching their interactions and the little subtleties in Backcover, it’s not hard to tell that they are close. They are almost always in close proximity to one another. Ava cares a lot for Gula, and vice versa. Especially considering Gula does the one thing he isn’t suppose to do which is tell Ava about what’s written on the Lost Page, what he wants to do. And while she doesn’t help him, he seems to know that and admires her for her strength to do what’s right. I’m writing her with my friend on discord and their Gula, and god I love them so much. You know who you are~
3. Luva. I just think they have an interesting dynamic, and which we had gotten to see Luxu interact with the other apprentices more. But I’m basing this on my interactions with @gravitasfatum‘s Luxu. The two of them are awkward and precious around one another. And while it can be read as platonic or romantic, Ava wants Luxu to know that he deserves to be happy; even if things didn’t work on in the end as she thought he had been the traitor.
4. This one crept up on me since I have a verse where Ava had made it to the future and ended up meeting Vanitas. This Vanitas belongs to @vanities-redemption, the two of them end up travelling together and experiencing different worlds and experiences together. It’s with Ava’s help that Vanitas realizes what he was missing and it was because of him that she realized the mistakes that she made in the past.
5. Some other relationships either romantic or platonic that I would be interested to explore would be Invi/Ava, Ira/Ava, Ava interacting with her Dandelions or Ava even meeting some of the KH3 crew.
“…He fucking deserved that language and more. In fact, I should have flipped him off as well.” This is a moody teenager, but is hugging Woody nonetheless.
🌵 Although, he is in Vanitas’ embrace, he still tries to give him a stare for using that same foul language once again. Though he can’t help but let out a small sigh and allow his face to soften. He hugs him back a little tighter, well as tight as a toy can hold their owner.
It was like he had goosebumps in all of his body, coiled, like he was about to spring out. He couldn’t do this much longer. He couldn’t. He couldn’t sit by and just do nothing. It was torture almost, this scratching feeling on the back of his brain that wouldn’t give him a moments peace, wouldn’t let him sit and relax, wouldn’t relent.
Sora, after all, was not used to laying low and having to hide, wasn’t his style. He would rather be off fighting, he was always running head first into trouble without knowing what he was really getting himself into. It was like his own personality propelled him forward, knowing something was wrong, was enough for him. Sora couldn’t lay there, couldn’t sit still for a moment with that knowledge. His mind spiralled, imagined what other nefarious things they could be up to, were his friends okay? Were Riku and Kairi safe? What about the others? Had Ventus, Terra and Aqua got the life that they deserved, were they happy somewhere?
“I can’t do this.”
His voice was almost desperate, he pointed a finger at Vanitas, as if to lay down the facts. Laying low had been his idea! One that Sora wasn’t going to abide by anymore. “How can you just…sit here knowing what is going on? Enough is enough. I’m not doing this anymore.” Sora was ready to walk out that door, if he had to fight on his own, then so be it. He was already slipping an arm through his jacket, a sure-fire sign that he was going to follow through on it this time.
It seemed as though Eraqus enjoyed taking long walks in the middle of the night…just as much as Vanitas did. The raven had wanted some time alone, after spending the entire day with Ventus and the others. The moon was shining down upon him as he walked along the mountains around this World and he felt the cool air against his face.
It seemed to brush away any traces of sweat as the sweet, haunting melody of the voices danced around in his head. Vanitas hummed along with the song as he strolled along until he spotted the dark haired old man. The raven halted and held in a soft groan of annoyance. No, he had to…had to get used to living with these people.
He couldn’t sleep, not that it was a surprise at this point. Sleep was always hard, but after being killed, after being caged, he was afraid, if he sleeps, he would find out it was a dream, or worse, relive things he didn’t want to. And even now, after all those years, the pain was still there.
Walking about, he goes by the water edge and stares with a frown before crouching. Grabbing some water, he gently washes his face with a sigh before looking up at the reflection. Scoffing, he turns and pulls out a small container and opens it before putting his hand in and then slathers an ointment on his scars with a sigh and wince. Hearing footsteps, he stops and quickly rubs it in before looking over as he closes the cap and puts it away.
“Ah, Vanitas...” Slowly standing up he shrugs. “It would seem so.”

Honestly, I’m not expecting much for Vanitas…this is looking more and more like a Sora and other characters thing…that the game honestly needed when it came out.
Yeah, me neither. I’m just bitter that he’s not there tbh, again.
He could tell that something had been bothering the other but he didn’t wish to make a big deal out of it if he was handling it by himself. All he could do was make sure that he had access to medicine and painkillers, leaving them out in easy to find places inside the bathroom, just making sure that not too much was taken at once. He had hoped that may have been enough to help aid him in his efforts but it seemed that without some rest, his body was simply refusing to heal.
“Vanities!”.
He pulled off his headphones and darted across the room in order to check on him, gently pulling him back up and resting most of his weight against his side as he reached up to feel the others forehead, frowning at just how hot it seemed.
“Alright - bed rest for you”, he explained as he wrapped an arm around his waist and helped to pull him to his feet and over to the bed that had become his. Two beds in this room made the place feel a little cramped at times but he didn’t mind.
“Alright - you have to tell me whenever you’re like this, okay?”. Who would have thought the day would come where he’d be worrying over Vanities like he currently was?
