Willing To Miss
“So you normally make it a habit of wanderin’ this deep into the woods, this late?”
"Jesse, I think Toad is sick!" (Winnie... I'm sorry).
Jesse peeked up, concerned at the news. “What d'ya mean, Winnie? What’s wrong?”
"My loving husband. I'm pregnant." (Beaffraidofanunlivedlife
It was like the weight of the world hung in that one sentence. All the joy one could possibly ever hope to feel, but all the fear and worry as well. Jesse had never thought that he’d see a day like today, and he almost thought it was too good to be true. Surely he couldn’t get everything he’d ever wanted! Having Winnie back alone was nearly too much. But now this!
“Are… Are you sure?” He asked breathlessly.

Hey Stranger
“Look no offense, ok? But you don’t know me, or anythin’ ‘bout my problems. You’re better off stayin’ away from me. I’m bad news.”
(Little clary , steleangel because it's cute) " mr.Jesse-" she cried . Tiny hands moving to knock on his door. He was the closest thing to a father she had now. Who else would she take nightmares too. " can I- can you help me? I'm so sorry. I just need a hug. Please be awake."
“Clary?” Jesse asked stumbling his way over to the door. “What is it, kiddo? Did you have a nightmare?”

Of Departings |Jesse & Lucy|
His face falling into a snarl as he took the last of his things form his house, Jesse glared at the figure. “You got what you wanted. You stole my brother and destroyed my family. Again. Are you happy now? Are you finally fuckin’ happy?” He spat. “Now there’s an innocent girl who’s gotta face eternity alone, two kids who will never understand why their folks ain’t together no more. My mother’s heartbroken, and I lost my brother. All cause of you! all cause you couldn’t stay away and let us move on! Happy? Get out of here. I got a boat to catch.”

Leaving |Jesse & Mae|
“I’m leavin, Ma.” Jesse announced, tears pouring down his face. “I’m sorry. I don’t wanna do it. But I ain’t stayin’ here and watchin’ her destroy us all again. I ain’t watchin’ her destroy him again. I gave him plenty of chances. I warned him that if he left Mairead he’d never see me again. But he still chose her. He chose her, over his real family! Over Mairead and the kids! Over me! He’s no better than her now! He’s doin’ the exact same thing to her that that bitch did to him!”
Sniffling and raking his hand through his curls, Jesse turned away. “I’ll still come and see you and Pa. I’ll keep in touch with Mairead. Maybe I’ll have her come and stay with me. I dunno. All I know is I’m done. I ain’t gonna stand by for this a second time. I love him too much to do it again, and he won’t listen to reason. She’s got him wrapped around her finger, and she’s twistin’ him into someone I don’t even know anymore! If she really loved him at all, she’d realize that he’s better off without her! She’d have stayed away! But all she’s good at is destroyin’ his life.”
Wrapping his arms around his mother and pulling her close, Jesse squeezed tightly. “I love ya, Ma. Tell Pa and the twins I love them. Tell Mairead if she wants to come and stay with me, she can. Tell her I’m sorry I failed her.”
He held her a little longer, not wanting to go. But finally, Jesse did pull himself away. Lifting his bag onto his shoulder, he went to the door before turning around. “She got what she wanted. She got Miles trapped, and she ruined our family again. I hope she’s happy.”

" do you think you can count the stars ? There's so many and there so beautiful." ( immortalsdaughter)
@immortalsdaughter
Jesse gave a thoughtful hum. “Well, pea pop, I don’t really know. There certainly is a lot of them. And it sure would be easy to lose count or count the same one over and over, huh?”
