Knees pulled up to her chin, the girl had sat herself down on the street outside the studios, breathing in the fresh air. She loved her bandmates, really she did. They were her brothers, her family. Yet sometimes, she needed a break from their company.

However, her alone time was brutally taken away when she felt a shadow looming over her. Craning her neck upwards to catch sight of the stranger, Noodle peered through her thick fringe to see them.

“Hello!”

Noodle generally had a heightened sense of caution, especially when darkness was involved. Like now, as she stumbled down the stairs in her half-awake state, she suddenly had a sense that she wasn’t alone.

The girl managed to make it to the kitchen before noticing the intruder. A scowl appearing, her hands clenched into fists, and she readied herself for a fight. Quick as a flash, legs kicked out, hitting the silhouette upon the head with a yell.

Until she recognised the voice that followed the attack.

“Uh oh.”

“2D, look! Look at this!”

The girl’s yells could be heard before she’d even entered the room, and were even louder when her small frame burst through the door. A grin had spread across her lips, and although her eyes were hidden behind a thick fringe, they were lit up with wonder.

“Look! Guess what I found!”

The dead of night had arrived, the entire city seemingly silent from inside the studios. A perfect night to go on an adventure.

Noodle had prepared a backpack full of supplies, creeping across the hallway towards the front door. Everything was going to plan, and she allowed a small grin to spread across her lips. Until she heard a sound.

Her voice no louder than a whisper, she hissed at the culprit.

“What’re you doing?”
