Jaw clenches as the news of domestic violence within the community. Domestic abuse was one of the main calls he’d get as an officer back in King County. Everything about it never sat well with Rick ( would it with anyone? ). It was disturbing. There was nothing right about feeling uncomfortable in your home with the person you cared for - to feel that you couldn’t voice your own opinion, or have a safe place to live in, it just wasn’t how things were supposed to be.
And now, that same issue was happening here, to a woman he barely knew yet cared for -- even if he couldn’t understand why through such a short amount of time.
Walking down the street in his constable jacket that Deanna required him to wear, he stops at the Anderson house and watches the porch window, as if waiting, excepting something to happen. Tilting his head to the side, Rick takes a minute contemplating the issue. He closes his eyes, lets out a breath and decides to approach the house.
He only heard of this news last night, but he had to make it stop - he had to take matters into his own hands and put Pete down. But first
Rick knocks on the front door.
He needs to talk to Jessie about the situation.
