“I’ve got no beef, either way, I mean I’ve been called a monster myself, Syl.” Mostly by targets, maybe an ex or two, definitely by the cops. He shrugged, “I mean if they can pay my prices…”
“What do you mean?” Victor blinked at Sylvester, “Do you mean the actual monsters that are lurking about Gotham? Because I was speaking metaphorically,” Victor hasn’t met too many alleged monsters aside from Fries and Firefly though he never really considered them monsters.
--- Of course - it all mattered about the price range. Sylvester inclined his head in acknowledgement at this as a smile toyed around the edges of his lips.
“Metaphorical, yes. If I meant actual monsters I’d be phrasing it in an entirely different way.” Gotham had real monsters, obviously, but creatures like ManBat were an entirely different ballpark compared to individuals such as Crane and Joker. “What brought up these fascinating thoughts, though? See someone you know?”
As though to emphasize his point, Sylvester looked around the restaurant they were seated in, eyeing each of the patrons with a mock suspicious stare.
