another procrastination meme. im on a roll today. im basically doing a draw this character in different styles challenge at this point

spoilers for a route. not saying whose. you know who you are

v be like nooo don't get the woman who just held you hostage for a week in trouble over this haha. i'm just sweating and throwing up and exploding for attention. for funsies

"Man V's route is so emotionally exhausting. If I hear Yoosung sobbing one more time I'm probably gonna break. Well, at least I might get some hourglasses out of this chip bag! That might make me feel better..."

So, getting V’s route in this au would be a lot harder, since MC is hella connecting with Ray on the whole “My Family Member Abandoned Me” front. 

Vanderwood hasn’t contacted her yet, telling her he’s alive yet (since another story takes place like a year before the deep story), so MC is still really pissed at him for leaving. 

Like, you just saved your cousin from getting kidnapped and you disappear!? Without a word!? You dick!?

Also, as a consequence of almost being kidnapped, her parents make her take self-defense. This is important for later. 

So she and Ray connect really well. MC is really adamant about not betraying him, making Ray’s Route more likely to happen. 

Unfortunately, Ray’s After Ending isn’t out yet, so I don’t what happens to Vanderwood. Hell, MC doesn’t even know Vanderwood is her cousin. Her cousin isn’t named Vanderwood!

(as a side note, I should probably decided on a fan name for Vanderwood, his name is too long). 

If Vandy ends up dying in Ray’s afterending, MC is going to be so confused and sad. Like, she was pissed, but now he’s dead with so many things left unsaid. 

If somehow V’s Route happens (like, maybe MC figures out there’s someone suspicious about Magenta early and realizes Ray’s lying), she’s still going to try to bring Ray with them. To the point where she’s actively trying to avoid going with Seven when he comes to rescue her and V. 

Poor Seven has to drag them both out of there bc MC keeps trying to go back for Ray. 

Ray later looks at the cameras to watch as they escape and sees that MC keeps trying to escape Seven. He can’t hear what they’re saying. He uses this as evidence that MC wanted to stay at Mint Eye (even tho she doesn’t and just wanted to save Ray who was being abused). 

Ray is furious. 

The trio end up at the cabin and MC is freaking out bc V is low-key dying. And who should walk in like a leopard-print Jesus, but her cousin. 

It’s the spiderman meme, only v is dying in the background and Seven is very confused about why this random chick he lowkey has a crush on screamed “YOU!!” when she saw his coworker. 

And then MC just decks Vanderwood. 

“MC, what the fuck!?” Vanderwood rubbed his jaw. “No, wait, I deserved that.”

MC pretty much ignores Vanderwood for most of the time treating V, usually by being in the not-chatroom, where Ray is becoming increasingly frantic about getting her back to Mint Eye and begging her to tell him where they are. 

She still gets the tazer tho

Meanwhile, Ray/Saeran is calling MC all the time, making sure she’s okay and trying to convince her to tell him where she is. She can’t, mostly because she doesn’t actually know, and Ray convinces himself that either Seven or V is constantly standing over her while she talks to him because she always sounds so distressed over the phone. 

It’s not until Vanderwood steals Seven’s phone that they have an actual conversation. 

He explains how he ended up getting blackmailed into the agency for everyone to see and MC feels really guilty about punching him now. 

They make up and MC makes him promise not to disappear again. He counters that she’s not allowed to get kidnapped anymore, because seriously MC, wtf

Ray, or Saeran at this point, reads this. He’s been getting increasingly worse in terms of possessiveness. MC is his. They have a connection. And nothing, not even her cousin, is going to get in the way of that. 

So, they’re at the cabin, trying to make sure V recovers, and Vandy is more than slightly aware of the romantic tension between V and MC that Seven is trying to ignore. It’s really awkward, especially when Vandy tries to make small talk. 

“So... you’re into older guys now--” *Smack*

It’s day 9 at night now, so you know what that means. MC and V go outside and have that romantic talk in the woods and hug until V realizes that Rika is nearby. So V sends her away. 

He shouldn’t have done that because in this au, Saeran is still active and he followed Rika. 

Yeah, turns out that the boy who is most like a yandere doesn’t take well to someone else potentially snatching up his darling, so he grabs her and starts dragging her back to Mint Eye. She screams.

V, who’s life for the past week consisted of solely worrying about this one girl, hears that girl scream when he’s trying to break things off with Rika and immediately runs towards her. This also gives the benefit of Rika now knowing that she truly doesn’t have his heart anymore. 

MC, meanwhile, remembers that she has a tazer and tazes Saeran just in time for V to show up. 

(Congrats, MC, you saved V from getting stabbed AND Saeran from getting blown up!)

V and MC are mildly panicking bc MC almost got kidnapped again (and V is suddenly realizing that there seems to be a pattern in MC’s life, wth), so they drag Saeran back to the cabin bc they can’t leave him there in the woods! There are bears there!

Seven gets the horrifying realization that his brother is the hacker, but there’s no time for angst bc with the hacker captured (and in need of medical attention too) they can finally take V to the hospital!

So the rest of the route is like canon, only V hasn’t been stabbed, he’s just recovering from a shit-ton of drugs. Mint Eye still explodes, this time because of some rando believer, Rika blows up her apartment only to try to drug the party, Vanderwood gets MC microchipped bc she’s been kidnapped/almost kidnapped three times now, V kidnaps Saeran from the hospital so they can go on holiday much to Seven’s ire, the works. 

And I’ll do V’s after ending later.

I KNOW IT IS V'S ROUTE...

But the one of the best (to not say the best) chats is the one with Vanderwood! Especially since after that when you're scolding V Vanderwood's so like "Oh damn that was a good one!", "mhhhmmmmm you should listen to her!"... So that means Vandy would get along with MC and OMG PLEASE GIVE THIS MAN A ROUTE OR A DLC OR SOMETHING!!!! ヽ(´□｀。)ﾉ
