I hate knowing that I'll hurt him, eventually.

I hate how cynical I've become over the years, how little there's left of me and the way I used to love diving in. I hate how lonely that feels, and how the echo still lingers. I hate the mess you left behind for me to clean up, and your drunk texts, and your games. I hate the way I don't care anymore, not like I used to. I hate the wasted time, the wasted energy, the emotions that were left behind, long forgotten.

I hate the fact that I'll hurt him, because of you.
