Rosa was walking back to the room she shared with Styler, from supper now that things had calmed down a bit in 13 to allow her to move around without Styler being at her side all the time for tiny bits at a time, especially while he was working. God forbid, that she, one of the capitol’s little princess, distract him from his important work. She turned the corner and almost walked right into someone new, at least someone she hadn’t seen before. “My apologies, I didn’t mean to walk almost right into you.” she stated sincerely.

She was eating breakfast at one of the corner tables in the 13′s dining hall with her back to the wall. She was tense and defensive, but that could have been the stress she was under lately, with Cashemere’s apparent resurrection and her trying to deal with what Marasco may choose. It wouldn’t be the first capitol guy that traded up so to speak to Cashmere, and that was the choice she expected to make, who wouldn’t choose someone like her over well over her.

She stirred the porridge type food around while leaning on one of her heads debating if she was really hungry or not. She had been trying to avoid Marasco as much as possible, especially since she heard Cashmere was considered stable enough to walk around the district freely. She wouldn’t admit it but she was really jealous of Cash for no apparent reason.

Of course they had pulled patrol, but it was less tense than she thought Talon wanted it to be between her and Marasco. That conversation made it known that his steamy night with her best friend happened before they had met and that his squadmate just wanted to create more friction than what the war and her personality was causing. Jealousy was a nasty reaction for her, and she didn’t much like that feeling but with Cashmere gone, after being killed by Johanna’s axe in the arena, it was a mute point at the moment. She glanced at him out of the side of her eye when she heard the unmistakable sound of a branch breaking, she knew it couldn’t be the squad or even Astonia, as the sniper wasn’t even in 13 at the moment. 

“Should we go check it out?” she asked.

“You mean to tell me you slept with one of my best friends?” Medea asked face darkening dangerously, when someone in the squad let slip that he had a one nightstand once with Cashmere between NORTHSTAR and the Quell. Normally it would be okay but when that member also blurted out that they didn’t have to pay for that night either her jealousy grew ten fold. She wanted to just punch hotshot out cold right there.

Rosalba was bored, because Styler was off helping Deejay convince command of something, so she decided to explore 13 on her own. She did miss home a little bit especially her sister, but she knew she wouldn’t see the capitol until the war was over win or loose. She took a few right turns from her and Styler’s room and found herself in a lab of some type. She knew it wasn’t Deejay’s because it was too clean. She entered curious as to who’s it may be and what they were up to. It wasn’t as if she would tell her grandfather what they were doing, she wasn’t even allowed to set foot in the communications center of the district so there was no chance for that. 

She was too busy looking at stuff, but not touching things, that she didn’t notice the apparent owner of this space return.

Kathrine was pissed, how dare the rebels use her innocent precious twin like this. How dare her grandfather pretend that everything is alright. Didn’t he understand that the longer they had Rosa, the more prone she would be to join them because they would get it into her mind that he didn’t care if she lived or die. Rosa had always been the naive and open minded one, willing to be friends with whoever. She was loyal to her friends to a fault, the only person Katherine was loyal to was her twin. That promo where she kissed that districter made it clear she needed to get her sister out of 13 or at least speak to her as soon as possible, before stockhome syndrome really kicked in.

She snuck into the capitol communication system and tried to hail 13. “I know you rebel bastards, can hear me. I want to talk to my sister before I really get pissed at you, pissants.”

“What do you want?” she asked her aunt after finally agreeing to help the rebellion even if it was to have some more freedom around this underground district, after being stuck in a room for two weeks with no visitors other than the two district three men that were her babysitters. She wasn’t mad at her aunt perse but why was she visiting now and not earlier.

As much as she adored weddings, here she was in this dark little room avoiding all the happiness of the Odair/Cresta wedding. Well, it was less avoiding more of no one probably needed or wanted to see a Snow there. She could hear the music and the laughter floating through the halls as she crumbled against the wall of her room soaking in the loneliness and the homesickness.It was as if people forgot that she was just a scared teenager taken from her home.

She was alone until she heard footsteps, “You can go back to the party, you don’t need to worry about me, at least not to night,” she said fighting back the tears. She didn’t want them to know she was beginning to believe that she deserved all this unhappiness, that she wasn’t a good enough daughter or granddaughter.
