Over 250.000 people gathered in Bucharest(over 500.000 in total all over Romania) on Sunday evening, for the 6th day of protests against an emergency ordinance issued by the government, with changes to the Penal Code that effectively legalized certain corruption offenses. The ordinance was revoked on Sunday afternoon but people no longer have any trust in the ruling party and its Government and are sick of corruption, which has probably been the biggest plight of the country since 1989.
