Holidays in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region
Hi everyone and 🐇Happy Easters :D🥚
I've been away for a week because I went to the South of France to visit my big brother, and at the same time I visited some lovely places <3 Sadly it was raining a lot but I managed to take some pretty nice pics of my trip that I wanted to share with you :)
My brother lives in a town called Cavaillon and it's surrounded by mountains like, you can look in any direction, the view will be great!
Since the first days it was raining too much, we decided to go to the exhibitions in the Carrières des Lumières, that is a very big quarry converted for artistic purposes, such as a digital art center. It's not the first time I've seen it, but each time, it's such an amazing sight. This time, it was a special projection of Monet and Rousseau. Here's an overview (I'll post more on my insta).
Later in the week, I visited the commune of Gordes that is perched on a rock and offers such an incredible view!!!!
and I visited its church that was super charming <3
also little bonus, can you see it? ;)))
The day after, it was time for the commune of Arles, a a coastal city which has many monuments dating from antiquity to Roman area such as
The cloister of Saint-Trophime
The antique theater & the Roman Amphitheatre
The Roman Obelisk
and the Cryptoporticus
Little fact, that town inspired a lot Van Gogh and I can see why :)
Bonus, little curiosity of the place ;D
The Tarasque, a creature from French mythology
The Luma Tower, an arts center
To end the week, we went for a walk along the seaside in Marseille, one of France's largest cities. And the sun was out for our greatest delight :D
I also went to eat one of the city's specialties, la Bouillabaisse. The broth was delicious!!!
Now, I'm back to Paris region where it's rainy again lol that was short but super nice :) my bro even taught me how to play the Texas hold'em poker and I wanted to play it everyday X'DD
I hope everyone has been doing ok, have a wonderful Easter week-end and enjoy your chocolate (with moderation lol)🍫
