May I request something for Kenshin, Ieyasu, and Masamune cuddling their infants?

Sorry, these are pretty short!

Kenshin

Treats them very delicately, as if he’d accidentally hurt them in some way. You know he’s perfectly capable of handling them, and you encourage him to cuddle with them a lot. It’s beneficial for them, too. So with your urgings, Kenshin would scoop the baby into his arms, holding them close to him. Since he’s more wary about his hands hurting them (at least in the beginning, though the notion is ridiculous), he’ll give kisses instead. Soft, light kisses against their temple. You just… melt. It’s such a sweet sight.

“Sleep, little one. We’ll be here to watch over you. …You can go to sleep too if you want, ___________. I’ll take care of you.”

Ieyasu

Actually loves cuddling them in private. He doesn’t do it as often in public—the baby doesn’t make a lot of public appearances anyway (Ieyasu is really particular about their safety). He doesn’t kiss as much as Kenshin, although he leaves the occasional peck on the forehead now and then. He uses his fingers a lot. Playing with their barely-there hair, letting their hand curl up around his finger, stroking their back. Ieyasu really likes stroking their reddish, round cheeks.

“They’re squishy. And red. Just like apples… Who am I kidding, their cheeks look exactly like yours.”

Masamune

A very… bold daddy. Is the kind of dad that has no qualms throwing his baby up in the air, but that’s only because he’s 120% confident he’ll be there to catch them, and they won’t be injured. Despite his rough-tough dad moments, he’s also very sweet with the child. Masamune likes rocking them in his arms, letting them rest their head against his shoulder. Other times he would pat or stroke their back, his warm touch making them fall asleep faster. Pats their bum a lot, too. (Can you imagine Masa’s baby curling up with Shogetsu????? OMFG)

“The way they sleep reminds me a lot of you. With your mouth sliiightly hanging open—OW! Haha, it was a joke! You still look cute like that, though.”

No surprise, but my favorite Warlord is Ieyasu, lol. I like him for his prickly nature and his interactions with certain Warlords. To be fair I like all your writing, but your 12 Days series and Herbs and Spice are my absolute favorites! My favorite route is Kenshin's especially the dramatic end. My favorite scene is actually from the romantic ending where Kenshin goes to MC and "whines" about having to eat something sweet and needs her to help him forget the taste.

Gwtting to know the blogger: What are some things you like to do to get past a Writer's block?

Hi and thank you for this ask! I will do my best to answer.

I am sure if I really experience true writers block, more than I just sometimes don’t have time to do all the things I want, and writing ends up lower on my priority list? I will try to answer about what happens when I don’t feel like writing, or when I feel stuck on a piece. I guess that IS writers block.

1. I might try and give myself a break. Just read, or play a game, or browse tumblr or chat with people. Mostly I find that not writing makes it harder to write though. Anyone needs a break, but writing you feel like you should be doing doesn’t happen if you, well, don’t do it. I sometimes feel like the longer you wait, the harder it gets to write.

@galadrieljones gives out amazing advice, and one of the things she told me that she learned as a writer, is that writing is work. It is not always ‘inspiration’. Sometimes you have to sit down, and grit through it.

This leads me to 2. Write anyway. i force myself to put words down. Just, one sentence, just anything. Most likely it is crap, and needs to be edited, deleted, changed. But it is there, and you just need to start to get going. Sometimes I think I’m blocked on something, but if I sit down and do it and treat it like work - suddenly I am not blocked.

3. Sometimes, though, that can’t happen. I then try to write something else. I ask for new prompts, I remember a conversation a year ago about some random AU, and I sit down and I write it. Or I think of a random setting or story and I write a little of it, even if I might not feel like completing it, or feel like it is was I ‘should’ be writing. This feels good, because sometimes I end up writing something I can actually publish too, and that always feels nice? In any case, words, written down, is practice.

4. Go to bed, or take a bath. Anything that will let me think about my story or my characters in my mind, allowing myself to progress the story without writing it down. It makes me want to write, and I can use it the next day. It doesn’t always work, but it allows me to be kinder to myself, thinking of it as progress.

In general I feel 2 or 3 are the most effective - they are the ones that involves writing.

Tl;DR - I get over writer’s block by writing, by treating it like a job.
