“The exciting dystopian atmosphere that surrounds SchulKid is emphasised by being a ‘faceless’ artist, refusing to show his true identity and instead suggesting that listeners use his personal sketches on Instagram as guides to him and his art: “You can choose to believe I look like any one of them, whichever portrait the music guides you to. I have no desire to be recognized at face value, I just want people to recognize my sound in the future.” For this new release, SchulKid teamed up with Belgium-based singer Valair.

I'm absolutely delighted at how exciting the new music act scene has been these weeks, despite it being near the end of the year! Here's another new one to keep you warm through the holidays with a gorgeous song and some swooning crooning. Out of London comes anonymous producer and songwriter SchulKid with his debut single, Wildest Promise, which features young Belgium native Valair on smooth vocals. Wildest Promise is a riveting work of orchestral music art that utilizes warm horns, playful strings, a tribal flavored rhythm, and a wonderfully funky, whimsical bassline. The blend of classic elements and modern dance groove brings to mind Clean Bandit's brand of music, though SchulKid baroque, soulful style is far removed from Clean Bandit's sound. Wildest Promise wil be out on December 15, via Stop Being Cute.

¡Eric se Rie en la Cara de Valair!

El otro día, antes de partir a tierra seca encontré la versión completa y subtitulada de un vídeo que ya de por sí era lo mejor que había visto de ataques de risa en toda mi vida... Es un vídeo sin desperdicio, es imposible no reirse durante los 6 minutos que dura... (Acojonante...A-CoJo-Nante) Todo ocurría en un programa de televisión llamado Boemerang de un país desconocido (¿quizás Bélgica en flamenco?) en el que se trataban temas controvertidos, el caso es que el pobre presentador no puede resistirse a la vocecilla de uno de sus entrevistados mas frikis, verlo es mejor: Pobre presentador...¿Pobre Eric, o pobre Valair? Aún así, el vídeo tiene fisuras como que el público de atrás no se ría en absoluto...Rumores de que todo esto es un falso tinglado. Sea Fake o no Fake, es grande, muy grande... Hasta menos ver!
