dune type of day?

Just finished the first book. Gonna be a minute before I can get my hands on any of the sequels, but I'm actually excited to get to them, in a way I wasn't excited to see the movie adaptation's eventual sequels. Turns out this seminal sci-fi series is more than a Star Wars.

Also some of the Alia stuff got to me in an unexpected way, maybe because I was recently feeling sore about the way Ward treated Chris. I would like to see more of her. And the movies were cowards for not showing 2-year-old eloquent Alia.

1st is brian, second is taylor

brian was my first fav in worm (ignoring my conceptual obsession w lisa) and he stayed strong as My Guy throughout. i haven't actually seen anyone really talk about him in fandom (telling) but I distrust fandom implicitly. he's just so importance to me and literally does everything right forever btw

taylor my gagabear.... shes obv always been special just given that shes the main character of worm but speck really got to me + I cannot ignore that every single scene with her and her dad made me feel wretched. i wish the epilogue with her wasn't real but I respect the closure it gave
