Today I share my research into the inner Sound mysticism of the Judeo-Christian traditions and Gnosticism. Before the Sufi mystics of Islam, in ancient times there were Gnostics: Jewish, Hermetic, and Christian mystics who described hearing the Sound, and seeing mystic visions of Light and the heavens while in deep states of meditation.

Gnosticism.

I want to make it clear, I have not read the Gnostic Gospels in entirety, though I have researched Gnosticism, and my research goes beyond the definition. I do not claim to know everything.

To those who consider themselves Gnostic Christians as of now (or to those who can answer these questions regardless), I have been led to believe by articles i’ve read, videos i’ve watched, parts of the Gnostic gospels i’ve read, and etc. that Gnostic Christians believe they get into heaven through knowledge / gnosis about their divine origin and inner divine spark rather than faith or belief. I do know that many teachings and practices of the Gnostic Christians are unknown, the same goes for many of their religious practices / traditions, and prayers, how do you ensure you’re praying and worshipping in a way that is right to your religion when such information on it is scarce?

The answer to this may be obvious, but if any Gnostic Christians could describe your faith and religious views it would be appreciated, as well as how you came to Gnosticism.

(when I speak of Gnosticism, I define it as the narrow concept of Gnosticism being it’s own religion, but I am fully accepting to those who fit under the Gnosticism category otherwise such as; Sethians, Valentinians, and etc.)

Valentinianism was a gnostic movement founded by Valentinus around 200 AD.  It remained popular until around 400 AD.  In this writing, Tertullian satirizes the strange elements included in Valentinianism including their propensity for bizarre fables and refusal to commit to any set of beliefs.
