i apologise if you don't answer these types of questions but, how does one go about planning/starting a sims story. how do you go about creating dialogue, choosing a scenery and poses etc. do you draw up a picture of what you want etc? also how do you go about building/layout for sceneries that you want? sorry this is a lot of questions, i really want to get into sims stories, but i have no clue where to start and how to go about planning. i hope this makes sense D;
thank you so much for asking, anon! and yes, it does make sense!!
first and foremost, this isn't necessarily the same for everyone and is not be all and end all, obey this as gospel type idea - this is just what i do for my story.
also this is gonna be kinda long but tl;dr:
indulge in vague ideas and daydreams and write them down somewhere - in a google doc, on paper, on the walls, whatever.
channel your primary school english classes.
keep things general unless you can't substitute - only then should you go specific
all in all work to your strengths - as well as not being afraid to ask for help on your weaknesses
hey everyone! sorry for being fairly inactive here; the past few weeks have been a complete and utter shitshow in my life.
long story short, i finally got out of my abusive household and have been living with a friend for the past 7 weeks - but unfortunately as their dad owns the place, he's given me a date to move out by august (which i feel is a decent amount of time to get a few more savings in - but if i were to move out earlier, it may cause a bit of an issue financially
as of right now, i currently have about $444 aud (~$311 usd) in savings. i am currently seeking employment and am currently getting financial help and have concession cards (low income and student) to help ease the costs of medication, public transport, and food.
i don't really have a specific goal in mind as i don't currently know whereabouts i'll be living yet other than saving up to at east $2,160 aud for bond (according to sydney rent price averages; i'll update with specifics once i know where i'm going) - but i'll accept and be thankful for any help i can get.
here is how you can help:
support me on pp* - (here)
buy me a kofi - (here)
reblog this post (please don't tag as donation)
*under a business name as my personal has my deadname and i don't want to spread that around
thank you very much for for any and all help! it means a lot!
hello all!
please know that right now, we are currently experiencing some technical issues on the story directory, and the stories may be inaccessible for now - but we should be able to get it up and running in no time!
thank you for your patience!
i've had this in my inbox for several months. why i kept this there is beyond me
OH yeah never posted my most recent selfie but hi
this might be a long shot but do you or anyone reading this know of a sims story that was p popular a few years ago .. the creator might still be active idk .. i sadly don't remember much about the plot line anymore but i remember one of the lines being "shoot, coward, you'll only kill a man" it was v distinct and had a song linked i think and i believe they were on a balcony outside maybe? i can't remember for sure. i'd love if anyone cld help me find the creator again!!
hey there! sorry to say but the story itself not quite ringing a bell to me, but i think one of the other mods - or even someone who follows us - might have an idea? thank you for asking though!
hi! this isn't really related to stories but it kind of is? i recently got into sims 4 again and stumbled across simblr, and i was wondering if i should make a sideblog to join simblr? i kind of want to try my hand at making my own stories, but i'm a little nervous because i'm not sure exactly if i should just start posting and hope people like what i do or if there's something specifically i should do. sorry this is a little weird HAHA
it's not weird at all, anon! thank you for asking!
tbh? i say go for it! my best advice is to just post whatever you want, and soon enough people will find your content and enjoy it! you wanna post stories, post them - even if you feel they may be a bit scuffed or 'on the fly', there will be people who will enjoy them!
and honestly a simblr sideblog would be good - however, your outgoing engagement (i.e. liking, replying to posts) would be connected to your main, so maybe making your simblr your main might be a better option if that is a concern. but sideblog or main, it doesn't quite matter so long as you’re posting! however, if you have a different main, make sure to let people know you have a simblr too
* i will say though that focusing on engagement rates or posting with the expectation that "oh i want this to get 500 notes by thursday" is a one-way ticket to burnout town so please don't do that okay
but yea happy simblr-ing!!
