looking out the window, nadia watches as the dated houses pass by. it was easy to stop the ones that have been left abandoned. yards so overgrown that it was close to swallowing the faded For Sale sign that was staked into the dirt. eventually yards started to get even more vast than they already were, they must have hit farm land.

they were traveling by vehicle to the location, coming by helicopter would only spook the locals, if they weren’t already. the townspeople weren’t  really used to this kinda action, she didn’t blame them for being scared. body straightens from the slouched form she was in, the drive becoming a little rough once they hit a dirt path. at the end of the path stood a red farmhouse, it didn’t look as ominous as she was expecting it be. in fact, in the fading afternoon light, it looked like it could be centerpiece of a work of art.

“What? Would you rather I lied?” he asked, folding his arms across his chest somewhat defensively.

“I’m not in the business of lying about friends. Lying to them,” he made a vague gesture to indicate that he’d probably lie to them if it was necessary. “But for better or worse, I’m not going to lie when I’m not the one at stake. He wanted an honest opinion so I gave him one.”

He will always use a condom unless he’s in a committed relationship and they’re both clean. 

However, after being forced into having a vasectomy when he was put through ‘training’ once he’d been blackmailed into service with the government, the protection is more against any sexually transmitted infections. At this point even if he had the surgery reversed (assuming it could be after twenty-some years) it would be extremely unlikely that he’d be able to get someone pregnant.

So yes he uses condoms always, but it’s more for protection against STIs than to prevent pregnancy.
