However they have at least each other back.

And this right there is why he didn’t want to lie to Chris, he always finds out in the end, “I understand that, and thanks i don’t need no moral speech either...i know what i did.” 

Normally he’d deny it but again, you can’t lie to chris.

That smile disappeared, being replaced with a grimace as he mentally struggled with himself. But he rose Leon up so that his feet were barely on the ground anymore. Not the it seemed to matter. Before the monster could react, the blade of Leon’s knife went right into his arm, causing him to cry out in pain and drop him. 

The pain helped Piers gather himself and become aware again. He shook his head as if getting rid of the lingering creature’s control before looking at the other. “Sorry…” he panted, “I…tried to stop it…”

Upon hitting the ground he brought himself quickly to a sitting position, hand on throat for a moment before bringing it down to retrieve his forgotten fire arm, not to use tho, just to pick up while he also picked himself off the ground.

“Don’t be sorry, its not your fault, sides, i’m trained better then anyone in the BSAA for something like this.” wiping the blood off the blade before putting it back in his boot.

“Come on kid, lets get you home.” 

After that manhandling tho, he needed a nice relaxing drink.

Hearing those words amused Piers. In truth, he had been suffering since he had been found all those years ago. But it only ever showed when he let the time run out and mutated. But he didn’t voice what he was thinking. 

As Leon worked on the van, the virus started clouding his judgement. He put a hand to his head and groaned softly. He staggered backwards by one step before turning around. The look in his eyes was different. The way he growled and stared at the other was…off. He took a step forward before lunging at him, grabbing him by the throat, smashing him against the van. Electricity started sparking on his mutated arm as an evil grin formed on his lips. 

He was stuck in his own mind, trying to fit to gain control again. 

Leon should have been quicker, but their proximity had him slip, being slammed against the van, dropping his gun in the process and mentally cursing himself for not shooting him when he first approached.

This wasn’t the first nor would it be the last time someones tried to choke him out either.

“So..is that what you want to be?  a Monster? after all the talk of me not telling Chris?” he struggled, bringing his legs up in the process before pulling a knife from his boot and  wrapped legs around the limb, Striking the blade through the flesh of the others arm, giving a rough pull down before ripping it out of him.

“Wake the hell up Piers! You’re better then this!”

And just suddenly he ended the call.No not because he’s fed up or anything bad it just he finally arrived where Leon is.The friendly banter was merely a distraction.He places his hand firmlyover the man’s shoulder,squezes it a little.” Miss me that much ?”

A little jump at the touch before he calmed right down and gave a smirk, “I miss a lot of people Chris, its a demanding job we both have after all...don’t get to see people much.”

He took to surveying the area while Leon looked into working on the van. When he broke the glass, he looked back at him to make sure he was okay. The sound of it echoed off the walls of the building, making Piers look around with his eyes. 

“You hot wire, I’ll get in when you got it going,” Piers said, still on guard, “I…got your back so don’t worry about being on guard for now.”

“Im already on it” doing what he needed while not shocking himself, “You stay close....don’t get involved if someone comes.....i’ll deal with it...your suffering enough...so don’t push it.”  shaking his hand after burning himself a bit.

It did take a bit to get it working but when it was done he let out a sigh of relief, pushing himself out of the seat, “You still holding together over there?”

He had a feeling that was the case. He may not have known the captain for long but he knew him well enough to figure that would be the best course of action. Hell, he did it to him after finding him in Europe after six months. 

He nodded. “Good. This arm is starting to…get heavy,” he said, trying to lighten the situation. He was following Leon, trying his best to keep up, still having to take quick breaks. He couldn’t wait to get that serum.

“Try to look to the positives...” finding what they where looking for, Leon bounded ahead to check the vehicles before finding a decently sized  mini van, slamming his pistol butt into the glass of the driver side to open it, being careful of the glass.

He got into the seat and checked the front over for keys, nothing, so while he had the chance he popped the trunk, “Get in, i’ll hot wire this bad boy and we can leave....don’t think we won’t get spotted when we leave tho.....dead people don’t drive...”

Piers recovered from the pain as much as he could and gave him a soft smile. “I appreciate it. I just want to be the one that wants…to tell him. I feel it’s only right that I do. I only need to come up with how to do so.”

Piers waited patiently for Leon to clear the area, his gaze now on the ground. He felt bad for having Leon keep this to himself but it was something he felt had to be done.

“Iv’e been on contact with Chris since the raccoon city incident...i know for a fact that if you got something to tell that man...just be open with him, he means well no matter what.” 

The area was already cleared, he just stepped over the infected corpses, no military in sight, “Come on, its through here, then i can worry about the car.”
