Fish Tails II valiantnobility
Snow couldn’t believe she had let herself get into this situation. True, she was glad that she could help Ariel find her true love and have an actual at it, but that meant she lost her love. Whatever attraction Charming might have possibly felt for her likely wouldn’t survive finding out about this issue. Who’d want to be with a fish? Even if he did love her.
Snow had been a mermaid for three months and, honestly, she was sick of it. And that feeling only increased when a bird found her while she was relaxing on a beach. It was confused, clearly, but it told her that she had been searching for four days to give her this message.
She took the message and actually broke down in tears when she read it. Charming had wanted her to find him at his palace within two days and be with him. By now, he’d think that she wasn’t interested. She pulled out a quill and a sealed vial of ink and quickly started writing before she could stop herself. She was writing about how she was stuck in the southern kingdom, that there was no possible way for her to get back to George’s kingdom.
Then, finally, she decided, she needed to let him go. She dipped the quill into the ink and wrote that he deserved far better than her and that she was letting him go for his sake. Because keeping him was just selfish and he deserved much better than what she could give him. She signed it carefully, not even noticing the tears that had landed on the piece of paper. But she gave it to the bird with the instructions to return it to Charming. She didn’t know if she wanted him to believe it or not.
