ok ok, so we all know the “wElCoMe tO My KiTcHeN” vine & we all know the iconic line “Welcome To My Crib” but imagine if we remixed it so it was “wElCoMe To mY cRiB”
My only concern with vyvanse is “irritability.” But the problem with all behavioral meds is that I have severe, unpredictable mood swings, so literally any drug that’s supposed to correct my mood, at some point is going to enforce a bad mood rather than counter an opposite one. That’s also why I think I need to be trusted with as-needed meds rather than meds on a regular schedule.
But it’s hard to convince a psychiatrist you need vyvanse for times when you need to get stuff done and you physically can’t get yourself to stop staring at the wall, AND you need Ativan to calm you down when you’re having an anxiety attack and your brain is moving at a hundred miles per hour. This is even harder to convince someone of when you don’t even have a formal mood disorder diagnosis.
And if I come right out and say all this to a psych, I just sound like someone who wants to feel special and collect mental illnesses and also get good drugs to abuse.
You really can’t win!!
