Also like Valentino is such a good villain because what do you mean his name strikes fear into the audience.

Like he's just on screen and chills. That bit in the finally where be just looks at Angel and he folds. THAT SHIT IS SCARY. Like actual chills. The way he is scarier than like actually horror movie monsters I've seen.

Vox's fall from power was great

Voxs climb to power in hell mirrored his life. He steps on other people and uses them to his advantage. On his own, Vox is pretty weak, just like Alastor said. He needs Velvette and Valintino to prop him up. He goes to Alastor when he first enters hell and asks for his partnership. Partly because he liked him, but mostly for what Alastor could offer him.

Valintino owns one of the biggest industry's in hell, with many many souls under his contract. Velvette is young and competent with modern day technology and social media.

He couldn't have become a powerful overlord without them. He would not have such a massive following. He uses Liltih's old campaign and rebrands it for himself. He uses hypnosisis to control sinners, where Liltih used her voice to empower them.

He can't build wepons for himself, he needs Carmila to do that for him.

Vox can't even be declared the strongest sinner in hell without Charlie being forced to say it. On his own he can't really do anything, which makes his punishment SO fitting. Being torn apart by the people he used and betrayed. Left as just a pathetic little TV head who has to watch and whine and things don't go his way.

This is a much more satisfying end to his arc than if he was just killed. As he said, Vox doesn't care if he dies as long as Alastor died, too.

Besides, he died at the height of his fame when he was alive. He never saw what the world looked like when people stopped caring about him. Now he will. He has been well and truly humbled.

I hope his punishment from the other Vees is something really goofy. Like Velvette uses him to play makeup tutorials for the new contracted souls or something.

"moral injury" in trauma therapy occurs when someone violates their own values in a crisis. In "Masquerade," Angel is clearly upset at the idea that Val might hurt Charlie. He get physically injured AND has to deal with the guilt of hurting her feelings.

Abuse victims are often forced to make choices that fuel their self-hatred / relapse cycles. It's hard to feel brave when you have to submit to someone else all the time. But "giving Val attitude," and keeping Charlie safe at the risk of losing their relationship completely, was a very brave thing to do. and great acting.

I think this foreshadowed the absolutely heartbreaking season two finale. If the key is self-sacrifice, Charlie could learn a lot from Angel.

This man truly is the most vile. But the meaning of the card is illusion, fear, like a whole bunch of other negative meanings or so the internet tells me so he fits.

Alastor must have fought Val dozens of times. I'm sure by now he's built up some immunity to it but can you imagin how freaky the first few fights must have been.

Asumeing that he didn't have husk them it would have been just him vs both Val and Vox and he wouldn't be aware of how Val's powers work.

So Alasotor porbaly at first though that it was just smoke untill he started feeling the effect. Geting tired, haveing trouble thinking. Not only is he haveing to fight off 2 overlords by now also that his brain seems to be betraying him.

Also Alastor is shorter than Angel and Val is TALL. Like I know Alastor knows he's the strongest sinner but that still gotta be a little scary.

Ok I love the Vee's but I'm a bit tired of people acting like there wasn't trouble in paradise befor Alastor rolled up on the scene.

The thing that is important to understand about this is that The Vees and the Hotel staff are ment to be paralleled and, the problem Vox causes with the Vees are ment to parallele the problems Charlie causes in the hotel.

The first time we see them Val is destroying Vel's show and demanding Vox come and fix it. Vox is iritated at haveing to what go down stairs and chill out his boy toy. "Just anouther fucking day with Val."

Vel is iritated at both of them which is a get out of my face I'm working iritated. Val is haveing a meltdown because Angle left. It is heavily implied that Val has the melt downs with some level or regularity and that it irritates Vox. Val does throw Voxs phone and also throws a drink at him which Vox doesn't seem to care about. He is clearly annoyed by the relationship ship Val has with Angel.

After calming down Val, Vox yells at Val about Alastor. Val seems only amused that Vox is so rilled up.

In season 2 befor once we get up there we see Vox correcting Val and Vel's behavior. He also leads every meeting. He is acting like he is the boss and not there partner.

Vox geting progressively short, stressed and dismissive with the Vee's is parralle to how Charlie has started pushing away the hotel staff especially Lucifer and Vaggi. There's a reason we have "I have vission" befor Vox populi and Charlie sending away Lucifer after. They are doing the same thing. Both Vox and Charlie are pushing away the people that actually love them because they think it's whats best for there goals.

Like of corse the Vees love eachouther in the same way Charlie and Vaggi love eachouther and the same way Charlie and Lucifer love eachouther but that love alone without action isnt enough. Easy is Vaggi saveing Charlie from herself when she's spiraling. The Vees wait untill it is life and death befor pulling Vox out. Which yes they do save him they do care about him but, we needed this energy 2 episodes eariler. Now Vox has lost everything because of his self destructive bull shit and they didn't prevent that.

Hazbin isn't a love concors all story at least not love independent of action.
