boy oh boy. sometimes I remember that other people are capable of awakening to, like, enemies to lovers timelines and that I'm just. Too aroace (across lifetimes, always) for that shit. what I felt for Javert as Valjean, for instance, was a mixture of fear and pity. not attraction. never attraction. I just wanted safety for me and my little girl. if I had been capable of feeling attraction at all, it would have been to someone capable of providing that, not someone who wanted me behind bars again.

this isn't actually in reply to the recent Javert. that sounds rough and I am sympathetic. it just made me think about how alien that whole sequence of events is to me.
