another drunky oc post <3 this time valkya

Valkya is a few inches above seven feet tall. Muscled and strong and thick as a castle wall, her bicep is about the size of the average mans thigh. Shes inhumanly strong, able to lift a 200 pound man easily with one hand high above her head. There are a lot of difficulties that come along with being that large and physically strong. not low among the list is that anywhere you go people notice you, and many people who notice you want to prove their worth by fighting you.Cant fuckin go anywhere without people wanting to throw hands and put you down a notch to further their own standing. She just wants to relax and have a pint at a tavern, but the local fighters all take her presence as consent to brawling. She can ruin them easy enough, but for fucks sake, she gets sick of it. shes gotten stares and gawking looks ever since she was 13 and already 6 feet. Men unconfident in their own standing inevitably take her mere presence as an insult to their manhood. Everyone wants to prove themselves against the giant woman.

Shes also used to being unintentionally intimidating. to be fair, someone that large is pretty much always gonna put people on their toes, since she could do a lot of damage if she chose to do so.

So, shes taken a lot of care in constructing an image that is not intimidating, because she genuinelly wants to help people and doesnt want anyone to be scared of her. whats the word, gentle giant? people tend to be more relaxed around giants when theyre extremely friendly and simple looking- so she is. shes a very friendly person, 3/4ths bcs she is naturally, and 1/4th bcs if she lets any negative emotion slip people will be scared of her and dislike her, and theres not anyhing she fears more than being hated or disliked. she has to be loved always.

Friendly jovial simple valkya , because if people were to know shes actually quite smart then she would be deemed more of a threat, and she is so , so tired of being innately taken as a threat before shes even done anything

✋ Are your OC’s hands smooth, rough, or average? Why? How do they keep their nails? Do they bite them, paint them, neatly trim them, et cetera?

She has pretty rough hands from years of wielding swords and axes, her hands are pretty large just like the rest of her. She keeps her nails in neat shape and constantly trims them because she never knows when shell need to put her fingers to use 😏 she rarely paints them because they somehow manage to always get chipped within like 2 hours and it drives her crazy.

👄 What is your OC’s smile like? Is it bright and wide, or thin and reserved? Does your OC wear any lipgloss or lipstick? Do they chew their lips?

-Her most frequent smile is a shiteating grin, followed by a cocky smirk. She always keeps chapstick and mint on her to keep her lips hydrated and kissable. 

🪞 How does your OC perceive themself? Do they believe themself to be attractive, unattractive, or average? Does their view of themself affect their self-esteem, or are they unbothered by their physical appearance? (If your OC does have things they’re confident or insecure about, what are they?)

-She considers herself to be very good looking, and has no problems about self esteem relating to her appearance. Her good looks and unique appearance have always made her stand out in a crowd, along with her being near 7 ft tall. If shes insecure about anything, Id say later in life she gets insecure about how much her goodlooks/sheer size and natural strength have to do with her success. Looking at how much other people have overcome in their lives and recovered from horrible upbringings, how hard it would be to be small and weak and still be successful and heroic, deep inside she starts to fret that everything was always handed to her and that she hasn't really had to overcome anything to be as successful she is.

-Average id say, hes a little bit lanky but hes definitely got some good muscle under there. Hes basically constantly moving, tapping his feet, slapping his hands on his thighs like hes playing drums, bouncing his legs, etc. Its almost impossible for him to sit completely still especially when hes bored or anxious, when hes anxious or guilty he rubs his hands together a lot like a scared cricket. When hes doing things like mopping or cooking hell beatbox to himself and bop his head around

👄 What is your OC’s smile like? Is it bright and wide, or thin and reserved? Does your OC wear any lipgloss or lipstick? Do they chew their lips?

    -Always bright and wide, laughs and smiles a lot. Hes got a scar on his lip from where a piercing was ripped out in a fight. Lips chronically chapped bcs he never drinks water and loses every chapstick hes ever bought :/

👖 What type of clothing does your OC generally wear? Why? Do they have any “signature” accessories?

    -In everyday life he wears mostly band Tshirts and skinny jeans, spiked collars and wrist cuffs. Hes a fan of ripped muscle shirts and platform boots, he wears a lot of rings and cross necklaces too. He has a bright green leather jacket he wears a lot in the colder months and its covered in pins.

1: What’s your OC’s biggest insecurity and how would they react if someone pointed it out to them?

-Probably his inability to hold down a job for longer than a few months, his lack of relationship with his father and his mom not wanting him! and being a “deadbeat” dad! (hah, bcs hes dead lol). Hes pretty much been told hes a fuck up all his life so he just laughs it off and goes along with it, but anyone pointing these out youll see a flash of genuine pain before his defensive tactics kick in and he tries to act like he doesnt care. “Yup, you got me! My mom doesnt love me but i still fuck yours so good she lets me overwrite your xbox saves”. Will probably be angry too but will try not to show it bcs if hes mad then they got to him, and nothing can get to him, hes ciggy! Afterward hell probably get fucked up no whatever substance is available and try and shake it off.

20: Does your OC hurt others often unintentionally? If yes, how?

-Yes, by sheer recklessness and failure to really think through how his actions affect other people. He's impulsive and sometimes likes to poke at other people's insecurities to see if he can get a reaction out of them. Also selfish without thinking about it, will probably eat the last of your leftovers and raid your pill drawers :/

22: How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions?

-Hes very open with affection! With friends and lovers he's very feely. Wants to sit draped across your lap or very close nearby. Epitome of giving the homies a kiss goodnight. If he really likes you it just makes him want to annoy you more, so be prepared for him giggling and poking you in the ribs and licking your pancakes, or jumping in front of you and twerking on you while your in a rush :/ even he doesn't know why he is the way he is

7: Does your OC have any irrational phobias?

-Valkya fucking hates those giant insects in valenwood and deshaan. The giant leeches? Fucking forget about it. Maybe not exactly a phobia but just the sight of them makes her rage so hard but she also doesnt want to attack them because then she gets splattered with giant bug juice and twitching limbs and thats just disgusting. They always seem to know where she is and single her out every time though

12: What is one of the most primary things your OC feels that is missing from their life?

-An ending! all the greatest hero stories have an end- be it tragic, sweet or cruel, all the heroes are made great after their deaths and are remembered as noble. You don't really get to have a noble end or a book written about you when your story is just….. Never ending. “Oh its the great hero of the second age, who slew and conquered molag bal himself and tamed coldharbors vile temperament! I wonder what plane her soul yet lingers, where greatness runs in rivers as through her blood?” “i saw her get jumped by a giant leech last week while she was trying to eat some moldy bread” “oh :/”

22: How does your OC usually show affection? Are they openly romantic or more restricted with their affectionate emotions?

-Shes usually pretty open about being affectionate no matter who shes with. Friend or romantic partner, no one is safe from her bear hugs and sometimes they are a surprise from behind. Shes also big on acts of service, if she likes you expect her to be running errands for you out of nowhere and picking you up gifts and showing up out of nowhere with a keg of ale and a story to tell.
