The dreadful silence woke Seonghwa up, pulling him straight from a divine dreamland back to the ordinary subway car. Or so he thought.

Mentally kicking himself for taking a nap in one of the most inconvenient places imaginable, he brushed a blur of sleep from his eyes and lifted his gaze, dark pupils flicking around the space. To his faintly numbed surprise, he was the only person in the car.

Seonghwa moved from his spot after a handful of minutes once discomfort began weighing on his shoulders. With an ambiguous grimace on his face, he ambled towards the other end of the train. 

God forbid he ended up as a character from an urban legend. 

Fortunately, his short trip wasn’t in vain: Seonghwa wasn’t alone after all! He had the company of a shady looking man, whose irritated face made Seonghwa wonder if someone had poured battery acid in his coffee. Absolute bliss.

“Uh, excuse me –– do you know which’s the next stop?”

“Every time we go for drinks we always get into a fight with someone.” Exasperation is heavy in her tone, fingers sifting through her hair as she walks alongside him. “Do you think this time we can be NORMAL, or whatever the fuck that is. I’m not in a fighting mood.”
