YEAH!! i mean it’s a little different as (by the sounds of it) troy is pretty intelligent and tyreen is pretty Dumbass, whereas with fiona and rhys they’re just Both Dumbass (and i stan that), but i DEFINITELY get the vibe from the fandom that fiona’s this hardened badass and rhys is a goofy fool she picks up after. literally the point of athena (and to a much lesser extent, even sasha) being put side by side with fiona was to show what a competent badass looks like and then prove how much fiona needs to learn before she can get to the easy killing, cool one-liners, fighting machine lifestyle like her

but bc everyone loves rhys so much and they can’t comprehend the idea of a lady being as dumb as her Lovable Male Counterpart........... fiona gets stuck in a ‘extremely competent and cool’ pigeonhole that just does not work for her
