What would the kids give their dads for Father’s Day? (I like to think Lucien would give Damien a puppy despite his own allergies but what do you think?)

Val📷: She comes down from Brooklyn to see him. Val gets something Small (haha) but meaningful from when she was a child. “Hey dad, remember that CD we used to listen to when you took me cryptid hunting? Here it is.” Also a really awesome card she probably made and a photo of her and her girlfriend. Robert definitely cries.

Amanda🐶: She goes all out. Amanda cooks (Dadsona) pancakes and pies for breakfast, lunch and dinner all of which are different flavours. She then takes him to all the big dog places in town like the park and the animals shelter before spending the night watching all their favourite shows and giving him a big collage of photos she’s collected.

Lucien💀: Lucien saves up and works extra shifts at the mall to get all the money he can, gothic Victorian things are not cheap. He finally decides to get Damien a few pieces of new clothes, make up and some jewellery. Lucien may or may not also throw in a toy puppy for laughs, which Damien adores.

Carmensita🌺: She’s smart and observant, making sure to track down all of Mat’s favourite albums that he hasn’t already gotten. She also makes him breakfast in bed and tries extra hard to make the coffee to the best of her ability. She gets him a few shirts and socks, of course his albums, and makes posters and collages of all his favourite bands and singers. Carmensita also hand picks small daisies and other flowers she can find for him.

Ernest💩: Ernest doesn’t like to do much for Father’s Day but when the day is upon him he’ll give Hugo a shitty printed out photo of a random wrestler he found online with a quiet “happy Father’s Day, Hugo.” It’s not much but Hugo appreciates it more than anything.

Daisy🧠: Daisy gets Brian all sorts of books about gardening along with way too many pairs of socks (though he doesn’t mind), a small pot plant and a few dog toys for Max. She buys a card and writes cheesy things on it that she knows he’ll love, which he does.

Chris🎮, Christie & Christian🎈: The three are almost clueless at first but all their ideas eventually come together naturally. Christie chooses to buy Joseph some new cooking utensils such as wooden spoons, whisks and cookie shapers. Christian draws pictures with Crish and tries to make a sailor hat out of news paper. Chris makes breakfast and buys Joseph the first book he sees in the religious section of the book store, Joseph loves all of his presents until eventually Chris puts on a performance where he raps to ‘Rappin’ For Jesus’ and they all get told off. No one ever finds out that Chris performing Rappin’ For Jesus was Mary’s idea.

Hazel & Briar🏏: The twins always get told off for going overboard on their budget, but continue to do so every year. Craig receives all the sport equipment the girls could find, even if he doesn’t play the sport. Briar decides to get him a few board games and even some video games while Hazel usually buys food she want him to try and/or hats. The girls always take a photo with River and frame it as another present, along with a very creative ‘card’ that’s actually more of a banner for Craig.

Dammit. I miss just BEING with my bests so much. Being with you guys and not being in this constant stress and teetering self-worth tornado called the university x working as many hours as I can squeeze in wombo-combo is going to be my cure.
